Okay so, let's talk about the Elephant in the room, I know they're different Races, from completely different places, from completely times, and from Stories that couldn't be more different, but they're Siblings, I'm sorry, but there's no denying that.
Apart from one being evil and the other being good, they act kinda similar. They're both Street Performers making Minimal Money, that are looked down upon because of their Race, they look similar, they influence other People's life in a way that drastically affects the Story, and they both have a Connection to forces from the other side, just that Esmeralda has a connection to the god in Christianity and Dr. Facilier literally interacts with Voodoo Gods. You know, saying that last part out loud makes me realize how weird the Princess and the Frog is. If they were actual Siblings they'd probably be like Scar and Mufasa, ones good, ones evil, but they have a few similarities that make it very clear they're related.
So, yeah I kinda see them as Siblings more than anything else. Is it weird? That's a definite yes. But, let's be honest, I would not be surprised if the Sequel to the Princess and the Frog actually revealed that, I know I already said this, but that Movie is freaking weird.
Still, I get why People ship this, do I want it to happen? No, I don't even want the Sibling thing to happen, Esmeralda will always be a badass heroine that doesn't care about what People think while she's in her Element, and Dr. Facilier will always be a Villain that f@&$ stuff up will eternally serve Voodoo gods.
4/10, it's reeeaaallly weird, but so is the Princess and the Frog, and at times even the Hunchback of Notre Dame, why the everlasting heck where there talking Gargoyles in that Movie?
