A/n holy shit thank you for over 2,000 reads

I woke up in Thomas's arms. Exactly where I should be.

"Did you have a good birthday baby?" He asked, half asleep.

"Yes I did," I said.

"Fuck don't we have a late birthday dinner with your dad and Alexander tonight," Thomas whined. He was definitely and introvert.

"Yes, Thomas it won't be that bad," I said.

"I know, it's just anytime I'm in a room with both of them they threaten me that if I hurt you they'll gut me like a fish," I said with a laugh.

"I think even before we started dating Alexander wanted to do that to you," I said. Both of us laughed.

"I love you so so much Y/n," he said with a laugh.

"I love you too Tommy," I said. Thomas got up, got dressed and went downstairs to make breakfast. I didn't want to get out of bed. I was so comfy. I really need to find out where Thomas buys his sheets so I can buy them for everyone next Christmas. I slowly got out of bed an got dressed. Breakfast was already made and on the table. Thomas was flipping through the newspaper. We ate in comfortable silence since Thomas was enveloped in the newspaper.

"What do you want to do today before dinner?" He asked.

"I don't really know, relax maybe. I don't know I haven't been feeling well," I said. Thomas reached over and touched my forehead.

"You don't feel warm, how about I make you some chicken noodle soup though later, just in case," he said.

"That sounds great," I said. Thomas and I finished breakfast and I sat on the couch, re-reading Cinderella from the book of fairy tales Thomas had bought me for Christmas. Thomas presented me with a warm blanket and a bowl of soup.

"Cinderella huh, is that your favorite?" He asked sitting down next to me.

"No," I said.

"Then what is your favorite?"

"You'll make fun of me," I blushed.

"C'mon tell me, I won't make fun of you," he whined like a child.

"Sleeping Beauty," I said. Thomas handed me the bowl of soup and he took the book from me. He flipped through the pages until he found Sleepy Beauty.

"In a far away land, long ago, lived a king and his fair queen. Many years had they longed for a child and finally their wish was granted. A daughter was born, and they called her Aurora. Yes, they named her after the dawn for she filled their lives with sunshine. Then a great holiday was proclaimed throughout the kingdom, so that all of high or low estate might pay homage to the infant princess. And our story begins on that most joyful day," Thomas said. His voice reading always calmed me down. I ate the soup, and slowly drifted off to sleep. (A/n I know that text is from the Disney movie and not the original fairy tale.)

Thomas was helping me get into my dress. I had taken a two hour nap this morning. I guess I was just exhausted. The rain was coming down hot and heavy and about every two minutes there was a loud crash and bang of thunder and lightning. We sprinted to the carriage as to not get soaked. When we finally arrived at my father's house we sprinted again to the door. We took off our wet coats and walked into the dinning room. My dad and Alexander were already there.

"Y/n, Thomas I'm glad you could come!" My dad exclaimed. He pulled me into a hug and shook Thomas's hand.

"I don't get a hug?" Thomas pouted. We all laughed.

"Not until you are my son in-law, and even then they will be few and far between," my dad said. Alexander then got up and hugged me, he hesitantly shook Thomas's hand.

"And you Thomas Jeffershit Jefferson will never get a hug out of me," Alexander said, causing my dad and I to burst out laughing.

"Gentlemen, let's calm down and have a nice, pleasant dinner. No talk of politics, no talk of Finley. We are just going to act like a family," my dad said. Alexander sat down, but every time he heard thunder he flinched. That's when we heard a pounding at the door. We all got up.

"Who could be at the door at this time in this weather," my dad said in an angry tone. Thomas pulled out his pistol and cocked in. When we opened the door, there she was, in the flesh and not six feet under ground. I recognized her immediately, even though it had been some time.

It was my mother.

A/n ohhh plot twist. Also just here is an appreciation post for two of my favorite Gaga songs. Marry the Night and Angel Down. They are such bops and Angel Down especially doesn't get enough credit. Also the Marry the Night music video is a 14 minute masterpiece that also doesn't get enough credit. Do yourself a favor and listen to both songs. Anyway I hope you enjoyed today's update.
