Dog

"Bilis, Prim! Maiiwan na tayo ng service." sabi ni Nala.

Ako naman ay hirap na hirap sa pag dala ng mabigat na maleta.

"Good Morning! Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome onboard this flight to Jakarta. My name is Robyn Manansala, your pilot for today. Your cabin crew are here to ensure you have a good flight to Jakarta, Indonesia this morning." the Captain said.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, for your safety, all passengers are kindly requested to refrain from using portable telephones, televisions, cd players, or fm radios in the cabin. Thank you."

Naglakad ako sa isle habang isa isang chinecheck ang bawat pasahero.

I smiled. "Good morning!" bati ko sa batang kanina pa nakatingin sa akin.

"Mommy, pretty!" the boy said.

Napatingin ako sa kasama niyang babae. "Yes, Anak. She's pretty." the woman smiled.

Magkasama kami ni Nala sa trabaho samantalang napahiwalay ng airline sa amin si Ivy.

Hindi ganoon katagal ang byahe papuntang Jakarta dahil hindi rin naman kalayuan sa Pilipinas. Medyo maulan nga lang ngayon at maulap kaya nagkaroon ng turbulence pero bukod doon ay smooth naman ang byahe.

Umupo ako sa kama at tinanggal ang aking heels. Medyo sumakit ang paa ko sa tagal na nakatayo kanina.

"Oh, ayos ka lang ba?" si Nala.

"Yup, magpapahinga lang saglit. Malapit na ba?" I asked while massaging my feet.

"Oo, thirty minutes na lang, bababa na ang eroplano. Mag aannounce na si Captain mamaya."

I nodded. "Okay, saglit lang. Pasensya na Nala ah."

"It's okay, kung hindi mo kaya ako na muna roon." she said and smiled.

"Ladies & Gentlemen, now we're approaching Jakarta where the local time is 2:35 p.m.  At this stage you should be in your seat with your seatbelt firmly fastened. Personal television screens, footrests and seat tables must be stowed away and all hand luggage stored either in the overhead lockers or under the seat in front. Please ensure all electronic devices including laptop computers and computer games are turned off." sabi ng purser.

Tumayo ako sa kama at pumunta sa banyo para maghugas ng kamay. Ngumiti ako sa aking repleksyon. This is my dream come true. This is it, Nana.

Tumigil ako sa paglalakad nang mapansing nakababa ang seat table ng isang pasahero.

"Sir," sabi ko at itinuro ang seat table niya.

"Oh, sorry." ngumiti siya at itinaas iyon.

"On behalf of Philippine Airlines and the entire crew, I’d like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Have a nice day!"

After a month of my work, hindi na ako nahihilo sa byahe. Noong una, medyo. Lalo na kapag nakatayo at nagdedemo o di kaya ay nagseserve ng pagkain.

"Napagod ka, Prim?" Captain Manansala asked.

"Hindi po, Cap. Maigsi naman ang byahe." I smiled.

"Bagay na bagay sayo ang uniform." he said.

"Salamat po, kayo rin naman."

Is he flirting with me? I won't deny, Captain Robyn is a pretty boy pero may boyfriend na ako and he's more precious.

"Let's have lunch? Kumain na ba kayo ni Nala?" he asked again.
