The rest of the school year went by in a blur of boring days and fun memories. The school work seemed to come in waves and the weekends were spent in Hogmeade and in the Common room. Sundays were my favorite day of the weekend, because Hannah, Susan, and I usually went to the library and were then joined by Luna, Seamus, Dean and Neville.

Anna seemed to be doing better. There had been little word from the ministry.  To her no update was better than a bad update. This of course made the rest of us nervous, but Anna functioned better with those dark thoughts pushed to the back her brain.

It was a crisp day in May as the girls and I were leaving Hagrid's. We had wanted to check in with him after the execution, but apparently there was a hitch. "Don't you think it's strange? Fudge sees Buckbeak and seconds later he's gone."  Susan questions as we bounce up the hill. "Not really, I mean they do fly." Anna says with a smirk. But Susan just shakes her head.

"He got away which is a good thing." I state. "I can't believe you guys are worried about how strange a missing hippogriff is. I mean, you want to talk weird- we had a werewolf as a teacher for a year!" Hannah exclaims.

"Hey, he might have been a werewolf but he was better than Lockhart." Susan says. Anna and I chuckle. Our arms remained linked. She got quiet. "What's wrong?" I ask Anna.

"Nothing. Just lost in thought....you know how you get a bad feeling and can't explain it?" I just nod. "That's how I feel."

A few weeks later we were packing up our dorm. "Don't look so sad you guys, we'll be back in a few months." Hannah says cheerily. She was standing on top her bed taking down some posters she had put up last August. "I heard a rumor." Susan says with a smirk. She was also standing on her bed playing with the bead chains she had hung from the top of the canopy.

"Well don't keep it to yourself!" I said while throwing a pillow at her. She giggled and collapses to her knees bouncing on the mattress. "I heard we'll have visitors next year." Anna scrunches up her nose. "Visitors from where?"

Susan glances around even though there is nobody here but us. "Other magic schools." Hannah's eyes go wide. "Guess we'll have to wait and see." I say.

The girls and I head downstairs for our parting dinner. I sit at the Hufflepuff table and laugh at Ernie MacMillan's terrible jokes. I feel a tug on my arm. I turn around to face my knight in shining armor. "Hey Shea. What's up?" I question with a smile. His cocky grin fades a bit. It usually does when I speak to him.  He hands me a slip of paper.  "It's my address. I thought maybe we could write to each other this summer. Only if you have time."

I gently take the piece of paper of him. "I'll make time." His cocky grin returns. I smile too.

"Have a good break. Don't blow up too many things up, please."

He throws his hands up. "Those statements contradict each other."

I just shake my head as he starts to walk back to the Gryffindor table. "See you soon, Lot."
