I barely slept all night

I barely slept all night. I was so excited to go to the World Cup. I wondered what it would be like. I didn't even know who I was rooting for. Viktor Krum was a god on a broom. So that may influence my decision. I must have finally dozed off in the early hours of the morning.

"Charlie, wake up." Cedric whispers to me. I open my eyes and Anna is dead asleep in her bed. She had no interest in coming, so she was going to stay behind and go shopping with my mom for both of our textbooks and stuff.

"Rise and shine. We gotta go." Cedric says with a smile. I get up and throw on some jeans, a cute top and jacket. I throw my hair up in a ponytail so I don't even have to worry about it.  I managed to fit my pajamas, outfit for tomorrow, an extra quidditch jersey, toothbrush, chapstick and water bottle all in a backpack.

I rush downstairs and find Amos and Cedric eating some of my mom's muffins. My mom shoots me a smile. "Good morning sunshine." she says with a singsong voice.

"Got everything there, Lottie? We're off for an adventure!" Amos says excitedly. I manage to take one of mom's muffins in one hand, swing my backpack on with the other and kiss my mom on the cheek all in one swoop. "I love you. I'll be back soon." "Be good for the Diggory's." mom says with a smirk and a twinkle in her eyes. "Definitely not happening." Cedric jokes.

The 3 of us head into the forest. It's quite a long walk, because neither Cedric or I can legally apparate. Amos seems confident on where we are going. He stops at a large tree. "We're meeting some friends here and then we are all using the same port key." Amos explains.

"I bet I can climb higher than you." Cedric dares. "Oh you wish." I chide back. Then the 2 of us have a slight competition climbing this large tree.

Cedric and I are almost at the top of the tree when we hear voices. "Dad, where are we going?" Through the treetops I spot 7 heads, 5 with ginger hair. "It's the Weasley's." I say with a smile. "You know them?" Cedric asks. "Just the younger two, but it's more of an acquaintance." I say to Cedric. I knew that Ron roomed with Seamus and I was friendly with Ginny, but she has plenty of her own friends.

"Arthur!!" Amos bellowed. "It's about time sir." Amos jokes. "Sorry Amos! Some of us had a bit of a sleepy start." Arthur says as he turns to look at his kids.

Cedric and I slowly start to climb down the tree. "This is Amos Diggory, everyone. He works with me at the ministry." Mr. Weasley introduces.

Cedric shoots me a devilish smile before taking a huge leap out of the tree. I gasp a little as his feet hit the ground with perfect grace. "This strapping young man must be Cedric, am I right?" Mr. Weasley asks. "Yes sir." Cedric says.

Once I gauge that I'm only about 8 feet from the ground I too, jump to the ground and miraculously land on my feet. "You cheated." I say with a slight smile at Cedric. "And of course this is my god-daughter Lottie Sigler." Amos introduces me. I stick my hand out. "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Weasley."
