Adam had been going to auditions but wasn't finding much luck on any of them. He was an amazing actor, (from what the internet told you), but for some reason seemed to be struggling. He had been home a lot, often spending the day in his office with the door closed. He'd only come down once in a while to check on you and Connor and get something to drink. You'd offer to make him food but he refused and said he'd do it himself so you could focus on Connor.
It was Wednesday, mid July, and you'd decided you wanted to take Connor for a walk to the park. He liked being outside and he needed to have interaction with other kids, it was really important for his development.
You put Connor in his crib so that you could talk to Adam. You knocked on the door quietly and waited for his response.
"Come in."
You opened the door and saw him intently staring at his computer, he looked up at you and smiled.
"Hey, sorry to bother you." You said.
"No problem, whats up?"
"I'm going to take Connor to the park, it's breezy out today so I wanted to take advantage of it. Did you want to come with us and take a break from the screen?"
"Hmm." He pondered for a moment, then sighed in self defeat.
"You know what? Sure. That sounds nice, actually. I'll be down in 5 minutes, I just need to finish this email."
"Great! Take your time."
You closed the door and walked back to Connors room, you couldn't help but feel giddy. You knew he was your boss, and was married, and obviously had a child, but he was smart, and kind, and had this brooding, mysterious sexiness about him that you felt drawn to. You couldn't help but have a crush on Mr. Driver.
----------------------------------------------
The walk to the park was peaceful and quiet. Connor wanted to hold your hand instead of Adam's, you couldn't help feeling bad, but Adam didn't mind, he liked that Connor felt comfortable with you. Adam trailed behind you two as you pointed out random things to Connor to keep him interested. You never ceased to be amazed at how intelligent Connor was, he was so intuitive for a 2 year old. He probably gets it from his dad.
Adam's POV:
You didn't really feel like walking, personally you hated the summer, it made you sweat and was such an uncomfortable time of the year. But you didn't want to say no, (y/n) was so sweet and you enjoyed spending these moments with your son, so you couldn't say no.
Your mind started wondering to Joanne, you two put on a really good facade, but you were struggling. To be frank, your marriage was failing. You didn't get along anymore, ever since you found out she cheated with one of your co-stars a few months ago you couldn't forgive her. If it had been one time, it would be different, but they had continuously seen each other. It took every ounce of power to keep it from ending up in the tabloids. You were a private person, and it would be horrifying and embarrassing if the reason for your separation ever came out.
You'd been sleeping in separate rooms for months now. You loved her because she was the mother of your child, but you couldn't trust her anymore, everything was too tainted. She had expressed right before you hired (y/n) that she couldn't live like this anymore, and was looking to move out soon. She was only staying for Connor.
You wondered about (y/n) what her love life was like. Was she single? If she was, how? She was so beautiful with her (y/h/l, y/h/c) and her captivating (y/e/c) eyes, not to mention how smart she was. Everything about her was interesting, and her body was to die for, her breasts, her ass, both so perky and perfect.
Fuck. Stop. You're still married. You thought to yourself.
You couldn't help it. She was an absolute catch, you'd wished she was your age, but she was so young. When you were her age you had already met Joanne and fallen in love with her. You'd hoped no one would hurt (y/n) the way Joanne hurt you. You felt protective of her.
(Y/N ) POV:
When you arrived at the park, you noticed Adam was way behind you, he looked really lost in thought. You directed your attention back at Connor, Adam was an adult, he didn't need your supervision. Though you didn't mind looking at him anyways, he was gorgeous.
Connor loved the swings, he giggled the entire time he was on them. Ever since day 1 when he first laughed at falling in your arms, you'd cared for him. He was so easy to love, he was the best child. Your heart ached for a moment, wishing he could be yours, that you could watch him forever. But you knew that your position was only temporary, and as soon as the Driver's didn't need you, you'd have to let him go. It made you sad, but you couldn't think like that, your job was to care for him and teach him, and that's what you were going to do. Not get caught up in emotion.
Adam sat on a bench and watched you two play together, you felt hot when he'd look at you, and not because it was the middle of July and you were running outside. Your insides burned because you desired him, you loved when he noticed you. He didn't have to do much for you to swoon over him.
