' Omari, I had to rush Aya to the hospital and left the kids alone-'

Knowing what he was going to ask, Omari cut him off and told him he would go fetch the kids. In his rush to get his wife help, he had momentarily forgotten about his children but remembered as soon as the nurse closed him out of the room. He thanked his friend before hanging up to call his parents and parents-in-law. As any parent would be, they were worried and had a lot of questions for him but he had no answer to any of them. All he knew was that he kissed his wife and almost killed her.

' Hey hun. Have you heard anything?'

His mother asked when she walked into the waiting area with his father. Ayanda's parents would make it the next morning since they had to take a flight to get to their city quicker.

' No, they are still attending to her mom.'

' Well what happened? Did you guys get into fight? Was it a car accident? What happened?'

' Honey calm down. One question at a time. You can see he's clearly stressed too.'

Tears fell out his eyes as soon as his father said that to his mother. He was tired of trying to stay strong and figure out what happened. He knew their friends and family would want answers and he did no know anything.

' I am sorry baby. If I seemed like I was accusing you of something or interrogating you. I just want to understand what happen. I mean yesterday everything was fine. '

Between his tears, Axel did his best to explain everything that happened an hour and forty-five minutes ago.

' I have always taken precaution when it comes to her. Since the first time she warned me about her allergy. I made sure not to have anything with cocoa around her because I might forget and kiss her.'

He sniffed back tears.

'Being that her condition is rare there's no epipen or treatment except for her to get hospital treatment immediately. I hope I managed but they've been in there for so long I'm starting to get more anxious. What if I was too late? I cannot los-'

His mother cut him off.

' Axel, don't think like that. We have to have faith that you got here in time and pray that she will make it through.'

His cellphone rang in his pocket and he took it out to find that Omari was calling. He called to ask where Amber's extra bottles where and inform him that the kids were safe with them and they were praying for Ayanda. Axel could hear Sadé telling him to ask how Ayanda was in the background.

' Tell her that they're still with her and I have not heard anything as of yet. I will call you as soon as I know something. Thank you man.'

' Anything for you bro. Just know the kids are safe with us.'
