Ayanda woke up at six in the morning with a limp in a walk from last night's drunken sex, with her husband being the drunk one. Though she was not really in the mood for sex, she agreed to it as comfort. She attended to her hygiene and then got her children ready for Amber's birthday. She was taking them to place flowers on her grave as she could not make it for her birthday. Axel spent most of his night the day before drinking his sorrows away and she knew he would probably be hungover and grouchy. Hence she was reluctant to wake him up after she had the children ready and the boys eating breakfast and making him a greasy breakfast.' What?!'
He had one eye open and his arm over most of his face trying to block out the light.
' We're going to visit Amber's grave and wanted to know if you were coming with us?'
' Yeah just give me a few minutes to get ready. Can I get a jug of water.'
' Sure and your breakfast is ready.'
Ayanda was feeding her daughter when her eyes lit up and arms went out as soon as her father came down ready for the day. He had on an all black designer suit.
' Hey daddy's little princess. You guys are done right. Ajax get me my lighter please.'
' Mandy, no! Daddy's driving, he cannot carry you all the way.'
She scolded when Amanda refused to let go of her father as she attempted to take her from Axel and place her in her car seat.
' No!'
Amanda argued.
' It's okay I'll do it.'
She watched on as Axel calmed his daughter down by whispering into her ear and placed her in her carseat with no difficulty.
' You carry a child for nine months and they turn on you just like that.'
She kissed her teeth when Axel burst into laughter. It always made her a little jealous that her daughter's were much closer with their father. Though it was the same for her too and her sisters, she only went to her mom when she needed advice and a shoulder to cry on because her father would rather go kill whoever hurt her first then listen to why she was crying.
' You ready?'
She asked him as they drove into cemetery and he did not reply but squeezed her hand instead but did not let go.
' Boys I need you to be on your best behaviour when we get off. So no noises and no fighting.'
' because people are resting hey mommy.'
' Yes Aj. So best behaviour. Now bring those flowers and whatever you guys got for sissy.'
She had informed them the day before to bring something they wanted their sister to have and she had not yet seen what it was as they had it in a gift bag with them. Axel grabbed her hand while the boys walked ahead and his daughter snuggled on him. Oblivious to what was happening.
' It looks like it has been recently cleaned.'
' Maybe my mom came over, she did day she wanted to visit her before they fly back.'
Axel nodded silently before crouching besides her grave. The twins followed suit and pulled out their gift when he placed a white candle onto her headstone.
' Hey sissy. We brought you Chewy. We know you miss him.'
AJ
' We miss you sissy.'
Ajax
Ayanda teared up while Axe looked away when they brought out their sister's bubblegum blue teddy she had had since birth. They'd been so absorbed in their own grief they forgot about them.
