Ayanda stood outside her house for a minute then took a deep breath and slowly twisted the door handle. While slowly praying that Axel was not home. She had had a long trip and night and an argument was the last thing she wanted to get into.

' Shit!'

She jumped when he appeared infront of her as she stepped out of the bathroom after her shower. She tried to get past him but he blocked her way, with only a towel around her breasts, fighting with him was not an option. With a loud sigh she stood waiting on him to move.

' Can we talk?'

' I really don't want to.'

' Please I need to explain what you saw in my office last week.'

He begged

' I saw you and your assistant, having sex or about to. I don't really care, so there's nothing to explain. Not today anyway.'

' When?'

' Axel I don't know, just please get out of my way. I need to get dressed and fetch my babies. '

' Baby I fired her.'

' Yippee! Now get out of my way.'

Breathing out loud he brushed his hand down his face. He was about to walk out but his wife's naked body distracted him as she dropped her towel to the ground. She turned to find him starring which gave her the idea to walk past him slowly.

' Don't touch me!'

' Aya we need to talk.'

' You need to talk and clear your conscience. I don't need to do shit.'

She got dressed and was about to walk out when he mumbled something under his breath.

' What did you just say?'

' It's not a nice thing to say but if we're being honest. You are to blame for this as much as I am too blame for sleeping with her.'

Ayanda wanted to share her two cents but she held her tongue. Axel grabbed her wrist when she turned to walk away. He hated that she was too quiet, knowing his wife she would have stab him without hesitation and with something when she found him in his office.

' Just say something Yaya.'

' fine how is it my fault.'

She asked sitting down on the bed, she did not want to discuss this but he wanted to, so she indulged him.

' I needed you. I needed you when Amber went missing and I needed you the night I saw her lifeless body on that cold morgue. I needed you when our daughter's body descended down that grave but you were too absorbed in your own grief to realise what I was going through.'

Ayanda felt her heart ache as she listened to Axel's words. She understood his pain, but she couldn't help but feel a wave of anger rise within her.

"Axel, I can't believe you're blaming me for not being there for you when I was grieving too,"

she replied, her voice shaking with suppressed emotions.

"We both lost our daughter, our world was shattered. We needed each other, and instead of leaning on each other for support, we turned away."

Axel's grip on her wrist tightened, and she winced in pain.

"I'm not saying it's entirely your fault,"

he said through clenched teeth.

"but you pushed me away. You shut me out when I needed you the most and in that vulnerable state, I made a terrible mistake."

She pulled her hand away, tears streaming down her face.

"Is that what you think of me, Axel? That I abandoned you? That I didn't care? I loved our daughter with all my heart, and losing her tore me apart. I didn't know how to cope, and neither did you."
