I got home after another unsuccessful day of waiting at the hospital for my wife to wake up. There was no movement from her whatsoever and I was beginning to fear that maybe she just would not wake up though she was removed from the breathing machine and breathing on a mask. The boys walked into the bedroom and gave me the same look they gave me on nights I came home. They wanted good news, that their mother was coming home but I had nothing and it made me feel like a failure.

' Hey boys.'

' Hi daddy, is mommy ready to come home?'

' No Ajax. Mommy's not ready.'

' Hey you two, go check on your little sister and then brush your teeth. I'll be there to tuck you into bed soon.'

They left after my mother chased them out of my room. I mouthed a thank because I was emotionally tired for their questions.

' I guess there's no change in her condition.'

' No and I'm really getting tired of this. They removed her off the breathing machine a d she managed the day breathing on an oxygen mask. There's improvement but nothing I want.'

' Hang in there son, don't give up on her just yet. You're her strength. Just keep praying and soon she'll be back with us.'

' I'm starting to think that maybe God isn't hearing my prayers.'

' Hey, God hears all our prayers and nothing happens when we want it to but happens in God's timing.'

I knew that but it's not what I wanted to hear at the moment, I wanted my Aya to wake up. She left me after informing me that the police would like me to come down to the station the next day but she did not know what for.

' Thank you for coming to see me mister Lyon. I've been trying to get a hold of you for the past two days.'

' My phone was off. Not to rush you but I have to go to the hospital, why am I here?'

' Oh we found Brittany and Summer. We wanted you to hear their statements.'

Axel followed the detective on his wife's case into the office where he played a recorded interrogation for him.

' Axe and I are in a relationship and he asked me to poison his wife so we could be together. She was going to divorce him, take half of everything and their kids. Since she's my cousin I did not have the stomach to poison her,I hired Brittany who worked at the restaurant to help me. I knew that Ayanda would be having lunch at the restaurant she worked at. Brittany poured the cinnamon and cocoa powder into her fruit salad.'

The detective stopped the tape before it ended and played Brittany's confession.

' I did nothing. This is all Axel and Summer. I don't know where she got my contact details but she called me and told me that Axel wanted to get rid of Ayanda and I said it was about time. She asked me to find her cinnamon and cocoa but I refused. Axel and her poisoned Ayanda.'

' Y'all can't seriously believe what these two are accusing me of.'
