Axel parked infront of the house he grew up in. Now renovated thanks to his success. He tried to buy his mother a new house but she refused stating that she loved her home and would never leave it. He had come to drop off his children as they still had no babysitter. The boys were not attending school today because their teachers had some event to attend. His mother opened her dooor and sighed when she noticed him standing on her doorstep without his wife.

'' Don't tell me you two are still at it.''

'' Good morning mom. I am well thanks and you?''

'' Spare me that and answer why you're here alone.''

'' That's because I dropped my wife off at the clinic. Ambrosia has her checkup today if you must know mother.''

'' Don't give me that attitude. Anyway sorry son thought you guys were still arguing because the last time you came over alone you had had an argument with your wife.''

Axel's intention was never stay long but because his mother was concerned, he pulled up a chair and sat down. It was respectful and plus he enjoyed his mother's advice, sometimes.

'' We are still arguing and just last night we were at each other's throat."

" What about?"

" Everything but when stressed or sad my wife loses her appetite. Which she hasn't had much of these past few months . So yesterday I forced her to eat which brought on the argument.''

He omitted some details he felt were not important.

'' Don't you think you should go for therapy, both marriage and personal?"

'' Mma I've tried suggesting that but she said therapy won't bring Amber back. She was seeing someone but stopped a few months back because it wasn't helping according to her."

His mother let out a deep sigh. She loved her son and her daughter in-law, seeing him stressed took a toll on her.

'' I know she has to bring Ambrosia over today and I will try talk to her.''

'' No don't because if you do then she will have something else to argue with me about. I love Yandi but I am tired of this constant arguments. I don't know what to do or say that won't she won't take the wrong way.''

'' I won't say anything about you though. Baby if your wife won't hear you she might hear me.''

'' Okay but if she kicks me out of the bedroom again tonight. You'll be to blame.''

Mother and son shared a laugh. Axel and his mother shared a close bond while his twin sister was much closer to his father.

'' Enough about your wife and marriage, tell me how you're doing in general.''

'' I am better than yesterday worse than tomorrow if that makes sense."

" It's understandable but I seriously think you both should reconsider seeing a therapist.''

'' True but Yandi is the one who needs to hear that.''

Axel felt like his mother wanted to say more but his watch said it was time to leave. So he excused himself.

'' Mma I've got a meeting to get to before I take the wife on her surprise weekend getaway.''

'' I forgot about that. I hope you both have a great weekend away and this brings back the spark in your marriage and you give me more grandbabies.''

'' You have enough grandbabies. It's Ariana's turn to give you babies. We're are done. AJ and Ajax, upstairs are a handful on their own.''

'' You know your twin sister doesn't want to give me babies.''

'' Okay mom discuss that with her. Imma be late for my meeting.''

He drove away thinking of how Ayanda would react to his surprise.
