WHO IS KEVIN?...

A young Ayanda stepped out of her parents car and onto the paved university ground. She took in a deep breath as if she was taking in her first breath to a new life. Scared, confused and excited looks from different new students around her made her wonder how she must look. As happy as she was for starting college, she was said to be living her sister's and parents behind. For eighteen years, they were all she new.

' Hey!'

She scolded when a buff looking guy bumped into her while playing with his friends.

' Oh my bad.'

He said licking his lips while undressing her with his eyes. It was a hot African January and all Ayanda had on was a summer dress with sandals.

' You're new here right?'

' uh..,yes?!'

' My name is Kevin and I am a second year law student.'

That's how Ayanda met Kevin, who had later that year proposed love to her but she had just met her now husband and was interested in getting to know Axel. Kevin seemed to accept her decision and they continued to be friends and study together even though they both majored in different fields.

' Are we still spending this weekend with my parents?'

' Yes just remember tomorrow you're sleeping in my room so I don't have to wait for you.'

' Okay take good care of my son and I will see y'all tomorrow.'

Axel kissed her nonexistent baby bump as he dropped her off at her college residential. They had been dating for a year and just today found out they were expecting, for fourteen weeks now. It was her third in culinary school for her bachelor's degree.

' Had a lunch date with the boyfriend I see.'

Since Axel and her had become official a year ago, Kevin always had something to say and it did not sit well with her, so much that she limited the time they spent together. Which was difficult since he knew her every move.

' Yes we had some things to discuss.'

She said walking past him but he grabbed her wrist.

' I thought we could have dinner later and maybe a movie. I've got new movies with ninety-nine percent black actors, I know you love those.'

' I do but I have an exam early tomorrow. Sorry.'

She quickly released her wrist from his grip and ran into her room which she locked herself in till the next day. The exam went well but the baby was taking a toll on her so she slept for most of the day after the exam, only to be startled awake by hard knocking on her door.

' What the hell!'

She screamed when Kevin barged into her room as she was trying to find something appropriate to wear. She had on only one of Axel's school team basketball t-shirt.

' Kevin! I didn't tell you to come in. Get out!'

' No need to be rude. I haven't seen you since yesterday so I was worried.'

' Thanks but leave _ please.'

She added when he slowly started walking towards her. With quick thinking she jump onto her bed to get away since he has blocked her only exit but he cornered her, grabbed onto to her and threw her onto the bed. She tried her best to fight him off but he was strong.

' Asa I've been wai-, babe what's wrong what happened to you.'

Axel was shocked to find his girlfriend on her room floor naked,covered in blood and bruises. He panicked when he noticed a pool of blood under her.
