It's you

Chapter 4

My alarm clock woke me but this was the only time i was willing to get up. I heard that we were travelling in a minivan that carries 6 people not including the bus driver or the teacher. The teacher and the bus driver were in the front, i think Mason and Megan and Ellie were in the middle and Me Alfie and Freddie were in the back. Okay so things i remember Megan saying last night was look cute. So thats exactly what i did. As the journey was 6 hours Mrs Farley and Mr Banks let us wore pyjamas but to make sure they weren't short. I put on my pink checkered bottomed pjs with the white loose tank top and felt all cosy and warm. I then woke up Megan who was right beside me and she was going in her pjs as well. We both waved my mum goodbye, hugged her and then made our way to Alfie's. We got to his front door and just as we were about to knock he opened the door.

"You're going in your pyjamas too!" Megan shouted as him, needless to remind you that its 6am.
"Yes. Yes i am." He said looking as tired as ever.
"By the way we arranged the seats already." Megan told him the seating idea.
"Yeah thats good." He agreed.
"I bet i can stay up longer than you Alfie!" I betted.
"Is that a bet i hear?" He requested.
"NALFIE!" Megan suddenly shouted. She was and has been proud of herself ever since she made that name.

I blushed and turned away. Just as i turned away, our minivan had arrived, with all the others in the van already. We all got into our seats and strapped our seat belts on. Unlucky for me, i had the middle seat. Damn it. Freddie and Alfie were either side of me. Two terrors. Nah i loved them really, but Freddie is super hyper, although I'm not too sure about the mornings. He is usually extremely lazy. I already planned the evil way i will wake him up if he decides to sleep. I smiled at the thought.

The engine started. Alfie pulled out a green fluffy blanket, the one which was my favourite when i slept at his house. He laid the blanket over both of us. My eyes lit up and i smiled. He knows just how to make me happy aww.

"Think i forgot this didn't you?" He smirked.
"Oh my God. I love this blanket!" A tear of happiness came out of my eye.
"Thats why i brought it plus it would give me an advantage at staying up longer, don't think i forgot the bet." He whispered.
"No you will not win!" I replied, looking over to my left realising that Freddie was already asleep, man, it was only 20 minute into the journey. Oh well.
"It's on Nattie!" He used the name i hated most.
"Don't call me that!" I whimpered.
"Nattie" he whispered.

The car went round a bend and i found myself leaning on Alfie. He gave me the 'tired yet?' look. I shook my head. He pulled the blanket up so it covered my shoulders, just as he did that Megan turned round laughing and said.

"You guys just need to go out already." Megan whispered as half of the people were sleeping.

We just laughed at her comment. About half an hour later everyone was asleep and it was only me and Alfie up. Obviously, the bus driver was up but Mrs Farley was even sleeping. *Buzz* Why is my phone vibrating at this time in the morning. I yawned and checked my phone. It was Alfie. Bloody idiot, he was sitting next to me. I replied 'you do realise you're next to me right?' I press send. *Buzz* 'But I'm boreddddd'. I typed 'just talk to me dumbass :)' i hit send.

"Hey." He whispered.
"Hi." I replied yawning and rubbing my eyes.
"Wanna call it a draw on the bet, were both tired." He yawned too.
"Yeah okay but i cant sleep on minivans its so uncomfortable so i would of won anyway." I stated.
"I thought you would say that." He whispered as he was reaching into his bag.

He pulled out a pillow and put it on his side then pulled me in. He puffed it up p, just the way i liked it. It amazes me how much he actually cares sometimes. I couldn't wish for a better lifelong best friend.

"Better?" He whispered.
"You're the best." And i wasn't lying.

I leaned against him leaving Freddie enough room as he was still sleeping. I was actually comfortable in a journey for once. He grabbed the blanket and pulled it so it was over my shoulders them he leant his head against the window. This moment was just perfect i didn't even want to sleep but i could feel myself drift off. I realised that he fell asleep before me though. I won the bet just saying. Aww, he looked so cute when we was sleeping. I just looked up at him and smiled. I took a really quick selfie if me with sleeping Alfie. Then i snuggled back down and tried to sleep. His arm was wrapped around my waist under the blanket. He was still sleeping so i didn't move it, not that i was going to anyway.
