Chapter 12

As I opened my eyes I realised that I was tangled in the earphones. It went from around my ear to around my neck to around my arm. They are some long ear phones trust me. Alfie was gone and I was the only one in the tent. That's odd.

I stepped outside of the tent and I saw everyone sitting around the campfire. What was going on?

"Finally your up we've been trying to wake you up for ages but all you replied with was 'No Alfie I don't wanna get up yet!' It's now 3:43pm." Freddie groaned.
"Oh erm..." I was slightly embarrassed that I talk about Alfie in my sleep.
"What were you dreaming about anyway?" Alfie asked.
"Seriously? I don't know. It was just a blank dream." I lied.

I actually dreamt that we went on holiday together because we were old enough and we stayed in a nice five star hotel. We were sun bathing together and we was at the nice hot golden beach. The sun was shining and everything was good. Then, I fell asleep on the beach and Alfie was trying to wake me up.

"It couldn't of been a blank dream!" Ellie shouted.
"NALFIE FOREVER!" Megan screamed.
"Guys it was just a blank dream!" I shouted back.
"Yeah she doesn't like me guys okay?" Alfie said, his tone of voice dropped. He walked back into our tent.
"Huh?" I was so confused.
"Should I go and check if he's okay?" Mason asked.
"Yeah your a boy you go..." I replied.

We all looked at each other really confused. Megan stared at me like I did something wrong. But what did I do? Alfie and Freddie claimed that they were going for a walk so we just let them. Maybe Alfie was homesick or something. I walked into the tent so I could keep my diary up to date. I flicked to the next brand new page. I clicked my pen and started to write:

Today was very weird. Alfie's been acting weird lately. Like strangely weird. We did truth or dare today and Freddie was so so so funny. Anyways, even when I write his name I feel like my heart wants to cry. Alfie I love you please! Inside of me is screaming. I just want you to hold me just like nobody has because nobody cares for me like you do. If you would ever read this right now I would die. I'm stuck, stuck in a position where I just want to hug you all day everyday and another where I want to bundle on top of you and squash you. But I know you don't like me. I think you like Ellie she is so much prettier anyway. He always sits with her and it just breaks me. Oh my God I can even feel a tear coming out my eye as I'm writing this. On to funny things Freddie and Mason crack me up all these rubbish jokes that are not funny but I laugh because they aren't funny. Like earlier Freddie told me why did the chicken cross the road, I said why, and he said to get to kfc. It's not even funny. I hear someone coming oh crap bye diary.

I quickly shut it and threw it into my bag. Slowly, I got up and walked out of the tent just to see Freddie but Alfie wasn't there.

"Hey Freddie where's Alfie?" I questioned.
"He said he wanted sometime alone, I think he's homesick" Freddie responded.
"Okay thanks!" I shouted at i ran.
"Wait where are you going?" Freddie's voice got quieter the further away I got.

Where is Alfie? I can't find him anywhere. Out of nowhere I hear an idiot shouting and bashing his head against a tree I could hear what he was saying but I think I heard him say something about Freddie. Slowly, I approached him.

"Alfie? Are you okay?" I asked him, plonking myself down beside him.
"Yeah I'm just a little home sick..." He whispered.
"Aww it's okay. But why did I hear you say Freddie?" I laughed.
"Oh I don't remember saying Freddie!" He laughed. I could tell it wasn't a real laugh.
"Come back to camp everyone got confused as to why you went. And I think I guessed who you like!" I said trying to sound happy.
"Oh who this time?" The sarcasm was unreal.
"Ellie. You like Ellie!" I tried to put effort into smiling.
"No I don't." His answer was abrupt. I knew he liked her.
"Let's go to camp and get this activity done shall we?" I asked, changing the subject.
"Yeah let's..." He sighed.

As we were walking back so many thoughts rushed though my head. I've liked Alfie all this time and he likes Ellie. What did I do that put him off? Better not think about it for now...

We arrived back at camp. Appears that the group got the recipe or instructions already. Also, they have already started cooking. By they, I mean Freddie and Ellie, as usual. I don't even get how they are like fabulous cooks at this age. For the best meal, they had to cook a curry. I don't know which type of curry. The smell of curry filled the air, that made my belly rumble. I'm so hungry.

Finally they finished the curry and took a few snapshots of it. Soon after, Ellie and Freddie portioned our dinner and handed it out. The mouthwatering taste of the curry tingled on my taste buds as if it was magic. Nobody spoke throughout the dinner, it was just so delicious and everyone was to into their food. I don't blame them really. Again, I finished first.

"Freddie and Ellie you guys make the best food!" I said, rubbing my stomach.
"Thankyou" Ellie replied.
"Yeah you guys that was delicious!" Alfie shouted with his mouth full, idiot.
"Don't talk with your mouth full, idiot!" Megan spoke my thoughts. And she laughed.
"Who's going to submit the camera tomorrow?" I asked everyone in general.
"Whoever gets up first I guess." Mason answered. Guess that won't be me then.
"I'm going to take a nap food makes me tired." Freddie yawned.
"Seriously? Your sleeping now it's like 7pm!" Mason whined.
"Il be back in like half an hour." Freddie said as he wondered to his tent.

As he wondered off, we all looked at each other evily. We all knew what each other was thinking. We should pour water on him when he is sleeping. Or, we can all bundle him.

"You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" I smirked at them all.
"Let's do it! Wait when shall we do it? Anyone know how long it takes him to sleep?" Megan said, rubbing her hands together.
"It takes him around 10 minutes to sleep..." Mason stated.
"We shall wait...Okay what shall we do mwhahaha!" Alfie screamed as we all shushed him just incase he would hear.
"We shall bundle him, Mason on the bottom then Alfie then Natalie then Me then Ellie" Megan suggested and everyone agreed.
"Okay he should be asleep now let's check..." Mason whispered as we tiptoed to his tent.
"Yep he's out..." Alfie whispered, we all snuck into the tent.
"Go." Megan pointed.

We tiptoed into the order we were bundling him in. and now it hit me what Megan did. She made me be on top of Alfie. Wow how could I not realise? We all bundled him. He just screamed and whined. Then, all of us were just laughing so hard. After that, we all decided to sit in Freddie's tent for a while. I ran outside to my tent and grabbed the nice blanket that Im in love with. Wrapping myself up in it, I walked back into the tent and plonked myself down, next to Alfie and Freddie. None of us knew what to do so we decided to play spin the bottle. Our rules were: whoever it lands on has to spin it and whoever it lands on again they have to hug, get the same person again kiss on the cheek, and get the same person again kiss, if you get them one more time then you are out. Also, whoever the bottle landed in they had to spin next. Ellie spun the crumpled bottle first and it happened to land on me. We looked at each other awkwardly and hugged. Because the bottle landed on me, I had to spin the bottle. I extended my hand and spun the bottle.
