Chapter 8

The dinner ingredients finally arrived with an instruction sheet. We are cooking chicken wraps, I guess that's easy enough right? A flashback to my house popped up into my brain. Megan was going to help me hint. She was going to help me i need her now. Since Freddie and Ellie took charge of the cooking i nudged Megan discreetly told her to follow me. I didn't want anyone to follow.

"Megan after dinner night starts. Well not really but you get what I mean, Megan what hints can I do." I whispered as quiet as I could.
"Ermm well step one is easy just wear your cute jammies ermm I'm thinking twhst won't be obvious. Well I have two ideas which one sounds best?" She quietly whispered back.
"Proceed" I said, forgetting to whisper.
"Okay well your scared of the dark well sort of, so he will probably comfort you so use this as a chance to cuddle up with him. Or you can be really badass and wake him up from his sleep because your scared, no doubt you will do that anyway." She raised one eyebrow and I blushed.
"We should get back before they notice we've been gone for a while." We snuck back to the campfire.

Mmmm, the nice tasty smell of chicken. I'd say that Freddie and Ellie are good cooks, and I'm not just saying that because I don't want to cook. They dished out our proportions of the meal and we sat around the campfire. It was so tasty.
"Oh my God you guys this is so delicious!" I complimented them. Everyone agreeing with me.
"Thank you guys, hey Mase what's the time?" Ellie asked Mason.
"It's roughly like 7:45pm" Mason replied.
"When are you guys going back to the tent?" I asked, Megan looking over at me smirking.
"I might go at 8:15 because I'm getting quite cold and I just want to sit in my tent you know" She was totally directing that at me.
"Yeah sameeeeeeee" i held the word for 5 seconds.
"Il probably stay out later tomorrow when I'm more prepared and used to the schedules." Alfie announced.

I looked over my shoulder and I saw the last few seconds of the beautiful glow of the sunset. Sunsets are the most natural and prettiest thing to watch. Anyway, enough about me and sunsets. A sunset means that night is coming. I took a peep at Mason's watch from where I was sitting and it was 8:09pm. Six more minutes until quarter past. Oh my gosh I'm so nervous. I didn't show any emotion. I slipped my shoes back on and everyone was leaving to their tent. Here is my chance, there's no backing out now.

No no no no it can't rain! I truly don't like being in tents when it rains what if it thunder and lightnings? Calm down. Calm. Down. I had a scared expression plastered to my face. As I wrapped myself into my blanket i sat up, looking like a human burrito.

"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Ye-yes" I stuttered.
"No your no-" He said, getting interrupted by a slight thunder.
"Thunder no no no no" I buried my face into the blanket.
"Come over here" He gestured.
"O-okay" I replied, I was taking a risk and being scared at the same time! Achievement.

I slowly moved towards Alfie shaking at every move I make. Alfie wrapped his arms around me and I instantly felt much better still a little scared though. The butterflies were back. I dug my head into his side shaking like a good'n. He moved his hands around my waist and hugged me slightly tighter to stop me from shaking. I smiled for the first time this night. We just stayed there and not one bit of it was awkward. It was just perfect.

Slowly, I looked up find that the idiots fallen asleep sitting up, bear in mind he is still hugging me. Like a ninja, I gently unwrapped his arms from my waist and laid him down. If he's going to sleep he can at least sleep properly. I yawned and rubbed my eyes. Quietly, I laid down. Making sure that he was asleep, I laid quite close to him. I turned to that i was facing away from Alfie when a hand wrapped around me. The idiot was still asleep. Aww bless him. We've hugged many times before but this felt different.

I needed to turn back around. I can't sleep! Tossing and turning usually gets me to sleep one way or another. However, I didn't really want to sleep he was hugging me like this for Gods sake! But I wanted to turn. So, I turned around and the tippy top of my nose touched his. Wow, I didn't realise we were this close. A smile tip toed its way across my face. When we wake up I'm so telling Megan all of this.

In the middle of the night
CRASH. I woke up in shock a tear ran down my face. Wait a second we still woke up nose to nose but anyway the thunder is here! I whimpered. Alfie woke up and hugged me.

"Come on try and sleep you will forget about it" Alfie said, his tired voice as cute as ever.
"I'm really scared and now I feel like a pain because I've now woken you up I'm so sorry." I apologised.
"Use my earphones and listen to music it will help." He advised me. He handed me his earphones.
"Will you listen w-with me?" I asked, smiling but he couldn't see in the dark.
"What do you mean?" He asked me, puzzled.

We both laid back down and I gave him one earphone and I had the other one. I snuggles close to see what song he was picking, my head was practically on his shoulder. He selected Ed Sheeran thinking out loud. This was very unlikely of him, i was expecting some like rapping stuff, but I like this more. I stayed in the position where my head was on his shoulder and he put his phone aside. He quickly fell back to sleep. Every lyric struck a heart string inside of me. I closed my eyes.

'And darlin I will be lovin you till were seventy' I snuggled up closer.
'People fall in love in mysterious ways' I put my nose against his.

I felt an arm wrap around me again, he must usually hug stuff while he is sleeping. The music made me feel more and more in love with him as it carried on. I love you Alfie Young.
