A/n - sorry for the really slow uploads, honestly I've had writers block. So I hope everybody is enjoying it, and yeah, that's all I got to say.❤️❤️
Today was the day, not any other day, the big day. The day me and Alfie will finally be married. After all these years of being boyfriend and girlfriend we decided it's time for the next step. To think, I became his girlfriend exactly 5 years ago today. My beautiful silky white dress flowed to the floor and Megan was my bridesmaid, she looked beautiful. Her luscious in a bun, with the two side parts curled, her cream dress flowing to her knees, with frills. Ellie looked gorgeous too, her hair was tied into a bow, like a present.
Only half an hour to go until I meet the love of my life, Alfie. I haven't seen him yet, and I'm honestly so excited. Although, I am very nervous.
"Natalie, you look stunning, this is the day, I see my best friend get married." Megan squealed to me.
""Yeah you look absolutely gorgeous!" Exclaimed Ellie, admiring my dress.
"How does it feel to be Mrs Young now." Megan winked, and wiped a little tear from her eye.
"Not yet, this is my last ten minutes of being a Robinson." I sighed, then fiddled with my dress.
I relaxed for the last ten minutes, thinking about my future, my husband, my children, my job. All yet to come. My thoughts took over as I had scenarios in my head, it's all a dream come true.
"OH MY GOD ITS TIME ITS TIME!" Megan screamed, smiling like an idiot.
"Oh I'm so nervous..." I stated, twirling my curly hair.
"Don't be, it's going to be great!" Ellie smiled.
I walked out of the dressing room and met with my father, as we was about to walk the aisle. Rose petals were scattered on the floor, just as it was when I became his girlfriend. Sweet memories. I held my dads hand, and we began to walk. Here comes the bride was being played, and I was lost in the moment.
I caught a glimpse of Alfie, and teared up a little, but I managed to wipe it away. He was in a black suit with a black tie, his hair all neat and tidy. When he saw me, he covered his mouth and wiped a little tear from his eye, I found it adorable. To think we started as strangers, to friends, to best friends, to a relationship, now... To married. Im at the end of the aisle, and Alfie holds my hands.
We said our vowels.
"I do." I said, wiping away yet another tear from my eye.
"You may now kiss the bride." And with that, we kissed.
It was a loving kiss, one likee here you would think it would never end. Everyone was cheering and clapping, a few even crying. That was it, we were now husband and wife.
After that, we all had a meal, and everyone shared their speeches. Alfie wanted to go first.
"I dedicate this to my parents, for moving into a house next to Natalie. If you guys didn't move there, I would never have met the love of my life. We grew up together and slowly and deeply fell in love. I knew I loved her from a young age, it just took me a while to realise it. Thank you to Natalie's parents, who granted me marriage to their perfect daughter. Lastly, thank you to my friends, who were there for me thick and thin, and who helped me through rough times. I love you all." Alfie said, ending with a bright smile, flashing his pretty eyes at me. I decided to go next.
"Thank you to my parents, you always supported me, and loved me no matter what. Thank you to all of my friends, who lent me a shoulder to cry on, and always helped me through everything. Honestly, I couldn't have done it without any of you." I chocked on my words, so I decided to sit down. After a while, my mum stood up.
"Natalie, I've watched you grow up, and can I just say, at this moment in time, I'm proud of you. You never failed to disappoint me. Even after all the times ive found you and Alfie asleep and mess everywhere, instead of being mad, it actually made me laugh. From a young age I could tell how much Alfie meant to you, whenever you had little arguments you would never get over it until you made up. Alfie, I could ask for a better man for my wonderful daughter to marry, you treat her like treasure and you've always been apart of us." My mum finished, laughing lightly and wiping tears from her eyes.
"My best friend, I don't even know how I can start this speech. I've been your best friend for longer than I can remember, you've helped me, through everything and I mean everything. From choosing what clothes to wear, to relationships. You've never let me down and I'm just so proud of you. " Megan finished, sitting down and smiling at me.
The speeches went on, all of them very touching and sweet, and the night was just the best. I could ask for better friends to spend it with. And my husband... He is just perfect. I guess you could say I fell in love with my best friend.
