Chapter 16

Natalie's P.O.V
My eyes opened. Alfie must've covered me when I fell asleep, aw, he really does care, I guess he always has cared. This trip has made me realise the little things he does to make me smile. He wasn't there when I woke up, so I got up and stepped out of the tent. The others were standing there, staring at me, not looking impressed. I shot them a confused puppy dog look.

"Had enough sleep?" Mason asked sarcastically.
"How long was I asleep for it only felt like 10 minu-" I was interrupted.
"57 minutes exactly!" Freddie clapped his hands on every word.
"It's not my fault you didn't wake me up..." I stated, happy with my statement.
"We tried but again you kept say 'Alfie' or 'Stahp Alfie'..." Megan whispered even though we could all hear her.
"I don't get why I do that, I never actually dream!" I lied.
"Look next time we're going to pour water on you if you don't wake up. Deal?" Mason looked so serious.
"Fine but I WILL wake up next time!" I put emphasis on the 'will'.
"And when you guys were sleeping we found some weird brownish purplish stone so we gave it in and that's our entry" Freddie laughed.
"Shall we goto get dinner?" Alfie said, rubbing his belly.
"Yeah you and Mason can go and get the recipe" Megan said staring at me. Why is she staring at me?
"Okay come on Alfayyy" Mason said as he linked arms with Alfie and attempted to skip off.

There they went, skipped into the distance. Idiots. I wonder what random meal we will be having today. I'm really surprised that teachers actually trust us with cooking, then again, it's not very complicated stuff. It's just stuff we've cooked in our food lessons before. I guess it's not too bad though.

It's about 10pm now and we've all eaten our dinner and settled down in our tents. Mine and Alfie's eyes shared the ceiling it was extremely silent, but not an awkward silence.

"Natalie?" Alfie whispered, his tired voice was so perfect.
"Alfie." I replied, yawning.
"Natalie." He whispered again.
"Yes Alfie..." I whispered back.
"Natalie..." He slowly spoke.
"What Alfie." I raised my voice slightly.
"Huh what? Can't you sleep Natalie?" Alfie sat up slightly and looked at me.
"You was saying my name?" I asked even though it wasn't a question.
"Was you dreaming about me again Natalie" I could feel that he winked.
"No you said my name..." I whispered rubbing my eyes.
"I didn't..." He said as he slowly drifted off.

Was I dreaming? Probably. I could feel rain pattering lightly down onto the tent, I was crossing my fingers that there would be no thunder and lightning. Each time a raindrop landed on the tent i shivered. Just picturing that cold water droplets were practically falling on top of us made me shiver. I snuggled up to Alfie, and rested my head onto his pillow. I could tell he had fluffed his pillow before he slept, it was very comfy. I buried my face into his shoulder and slowly drifted off to sleep.

"Oy Freddie get the camera!" I heard a shout and decided to ignore it. I buried my face deeper into Alfie's shoulder.
"Aww they look so cute I don't want to wake them" Mason whispered.
"They will love me for this!" I heard a clicking sound, and Alfie mumble.
"Huh whats going on?" I said not moving.
"Alfie and Natalie open your eyes and look around..." Freddie chuckled.

Me and Alfie opened our eyes and realised that I had my head buried into his shoulder and his arms were wrapped tightly around my waist and we were nicely snuggled. We stared at each other then let go and slightly jumped from what we just saw. Secretly I loved it. I don't know what he thought but I know that I loved it.

"It's our last day here I say we do some crazy things!" I suggested waving my hands in the air like a little kid.
"I say we all sleep in the same tent!" Megan grabbed my hands and we jumped up and down.
"Yay! Sleepover sorta!" Ellie grabbed our hands and jumped with us. All the boys rolled their eyes,
"Well Im getting an end if we sleep in the same tent!" Alfie and Megan said at the same time.
"Yeah I want somewhere in the middle!" Mason said.
"Me tooooooo" Freddie said in a sing song voice.
"Il just sleep wherever there's space I suppose. Wait whose tent are we sleeping in?" I asked.
"Ermm how about Mason and Freddie, it's the biggest." Megan's said and we all agreed.

Well that was mine and Alfie's scare them plan out the window. We can't scare them if we're in the same tent. Oh well at least tonight will be fun. We all done our daily routines of the showering. Megan first then Me second Ellie third and the boys whatever order. After that I'd go back to my tent and get a light coat of mascara and brush my hair and change from my pjs. I put on the last outfit I brought with me today (i snuck this one without Megan looking because I thought she would make me leave it). I took off my pyjama bottoms and replaced them with black leggings then I took off my top. Well, I tried it got stuck on my head. The top was a Mini Mouse and Micky Mouse print all over.

"Stupid top get off my head!" I struggled.
"Let me help you?" A familiar voice said as they pulled my top off of my head and down so it was hanging on my neck. I wasn't facing them.
"Thank y-" I turned round to see nobody there. Ermm that's creepy.

I carried on dressing my self by putting on my cute white socks on my small feet. I had the smallest feet out of all of us. Me being only size 4... To complete my outfit I put a cream cardigan that came to around mid thigh. It was the most comfy thing ever. I walked out of the tent and the others seemed to be ready except from Freddie. Sometimes I think he's a girl, I get ready quicker than him. I looked around, still a bit shook that someone dressed me. Nobody made eye contact with me.

"Which one of you helped me a minute ago..." I said suspiciously. Looking at each and every one of them.
"Helped you with what?" Megan asked.
"Well whoever did it knows what I'm on about."
"Well not me..." Everyone said.
"Well Freddie's the only one not out here but I know it wouldn't be him. Well he wouldn't help me with what he helped me with anyway. Whoever helped me tell me at some point please im like so curious..." I went on.

We waited for about 10 more minutes then Freddie was ready. Today we will be getting the results of which camp mates have won the activities. The best thing about this trip was going back home and it will be the summer holidays. 6 weeks of pure freedom. Although me, I didn't mind school, but I obviously prefer home. Today, we will be receiving our results and dinner instructions at the same time. Hmm last day. This shall be fun.
