Chapter 18

Did me and Alfie just...kiss...I can't believe he did that. He likes me. Alfie... Like me? His arms were still around me. I found his hand and held it. I never let go. For one time this night I felt safer. Although,I was still worried what happened last night. I stayed up for most of it, I probably got 1 hour of sleep and I'm awake before everyone else. Slowly, I moved so I was leaning on Alfie's shoulder and I watch the others. Alfie, being Alfie fell asleep sitting up, not that I do that...

I was thinking about yesterday's dinner and when we received the results...In which I never actually told you who won. We came second! None of us were really bothered if we won. The team who came first was one of my good friends anyway. Everybody else is still asleep. Wake up somebody. Anybody. I sat and waited for 20 minutes, still leaning on Alfie's shoulder, then he finally awoke.

"Hey why you up this earlyy" Alfie said, with his tired voice giving my the chills. I shivered.
"Alfie i only slept for like an hour I've been up all night." I whispered, trying not to wake the others.
"Oh my god did we sleep like this" He laughed as we both realised were still in that leaning on his shoulder position.
"Yeah I mean your actually quite comfortable I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep..." I laughed.
"When the others wake up they're going to wonder why we're like this and take pictures again." Alfie tried to whisper, as a result, he woke up Megan.
"You guys... Look.... So cuteeeee." Megan half whispered. I blushed a little.
"Ermm...." Me and Alfie chorused. I didn't move though, I was so tired.

As you know I hardly slept last night and now that Megan and Alfie were awake, I could sneak a few minutes. I felt one eyes shut but I immediately opened it. At this moment, I felt like taping my eyes open.

"Girl you look so tired..." Megan whispered over to me, who was resting on Alfie's comfy shoulder.
"I am...trust me..." I yawned in between words.
"You can sleep if you want to." Alfie said, looking down at me whilst I was looking up at him.
"I can't." I said, I can't sleep now wait till the travel back.
"Me and Megan are awake. At least get half and hour or so before the others wake up." Alfie said, while squeezing me tighter and then looser again.
"But you might want to sleep Alfie" After all, he had less sleep than the others.
"I can sleep on the ride back its okay" Alfie whispered.

I opened one eye to see that Alfie kept his promise and he was still awake. I opened the other eye and looked up at him and gave him a 'thankyou' smile. I found my way to his hand and held it, then I just looked back up at him. So many thoughts were going through my head about the creepy experience last night, I just can't wait to go home. After all the showers and whatever are done then we can finally go home. Home. Hmm, im going to wear my pyjamas I don't care what people think, they're comfortable. I sat around the campfire waiting for everyone to get ready. As usual it's Freddie who is last. Never changes that boy.

Ah finally, Freddie ready. Praise the Lord.

***On the way home***
We all climbed in the van. Ellie Freddie and Megan in the middle and Me Alfie and Mason in the back, the teacher and driver in the front. I was most looking forward to summer. 6 weeks of pure freedom. It's still quite early in the morning (7am). All of us were wide awake, well, except me. *Ding ding* My phone buzzed. Who's texting me now?

Megan: Hey there Nat :) <3

Me: Heyyyy Megannnnn <3

Megan: Hows it back there with Alfie ;)

Me: Actually Megan... You know I stayed up last night...

Megan: You stayed up! Gurl you must be tired.

Me: Anyway, he stayed up with me for a while and....

Megan: And...

Me: oh we hugged...
