Ryan woke up. He realized he was still in the same room as when he went to bed. He was still in the hotel.
Ryan looked to his right and saw Shane. He was sound asleep. Ryan shot up and ran out of bed. He looked outside and saw he was still in 1912. Ryan ran over to Shane and shook him awake. He groaned.
"Shane! Look!" Ryan said. Shane realized quickly that they were still stuck. He groaned and fell back into bed. He rubbed his eyes.
"What should we do!? We're stuck! We solved the case but it doesn't matter now!" Ryan panicked as he paced the room. Shane sat up in bed.
"Ryan," he said. Ryan still paced and thought but he was listening to his friend. "We'll figure it out. I'm sure that we were sent here for a different reason if we're still here." Shane comforted. He got out of bed and started to shower, brush his teeth and get dressed. Ryan said nothing the whole time.
When they were both ready to leave, Ryan went downstairs to grab coffee for the both of them. Shane waited in the room, as he would make the beds.
Ryan went downstairs and Shane made the beds.
"Dude," Sallie said. She didn't scare Shane, even though she popped out of nowhere. But, she's constantly with Shane. So is GM, so it's whatever.
Sallie shrugged. She sat on Shane's bed, looking at him. GM was standing next to the bed, his arms crossed, also disappointed in him. Shane ignored them as he set the pillows on Ryan's bed.
"What?" Shane asked.
"You've got to tell him," Sallie says. GM nods.
"How!?" Shane asks. "Like, 'Hey, Ryan, I just wanted to let you know that I have very strong feelings for you. Oh, also, I'm a demon from hell.'?" Shane said sarcastically. GM snickered.
"Can you imagine if you actually said that?" GM laughed. Shane growls at him and sits on the edge of Ryan's bed. He sighs roughly. Sallie slaps GM's arms. He flinches but she shakes her head in disappointment.
"No, Shane. If you say it like that, you'll blow it." She said. Sallie got up and sat next to Shane.
"But," She continues. "Tell him that you really like him first, let him cool down, then tell him you're a demon, I think that's the best option right now," Sallie says. GM scoffs.
"That's ridiculous. Shane can't just tell Ryan two things that are very important at two different times. He needs to tell him at the same time. That way Ryan will know fully." GM says. Sallie glares at him.
"No," She says, sternly. "That won't work. Ryan needs time to think." She says.
"Guys," Shane says. He looks at both of them. "Stop. I'll tell Ryan when I'm ready, but not until we get home." He says. Shane gets up and heads for the door.
"That won't work either," Sallie says.
"How do you know?" Shane asks as he grabs the door handle.
"If you want to leave, you have to tell him," Sallie says. Shane doesn't move. He doesn't turn the knob, and instead looks back at her, sorta betrayed (although that's not the case.)
"What?" He asked, very sternly.
"In order to leave the 1900s, you have to tell Ryan the truth," Sallie says. Shane takes his hand off the knob and stares at both of the other demons.
"What?" Shane repeats.
"I've told you," Sallie says. "In order to leave, you have to tell Ryan everything." Shane is speechless.
"And you guys are telling this to me now?" He asks aggressively. It's a little odd, since Shane is a very level-headed guy.
"We tried to tell you before but you had already left and wouldn't hear us out, dummy," GM says. Shane's mouth is ajar, and he feels a little betrayed. He sighs.
"Why? What happens if I do tell Ryan?" Shane asks.
"You have to wait until Ryan tells you the truth, and when he does, you'll go back home," Sallie says.
"Both of you." GM says clearly. Sallie nods. Shane sighs and panic runs through his body.
"Fine." He says, giving up. "I'll tell Ryan." He sighs. Sallie claps and GM smiles.
"Alright, now go," GM says, pushing him gently out the door. Shane recoils and pushes him back gently.
"Ryan's worried about you," Sallie says. Shane opens the door and leaves. As he leaves he thinks of what he should say, and how he should say it. He's not sure what Ryan's reaction will be.
Shane starts to sweat as he gets closer and closer to Ryan.
Finally spotting him, Ryan smiles at him and gestures for Shane to sit across from him. Shane sighs and walks over to Ryan. He sits down and grabs his coffee, not taking a sip. Ryan does, and notices something seems wrong with Shane.
"What's wrong?" Ryan asks.
"I know how we can go home," Shane says.
