Chapter 32: Bloodcurdling Canon

Y/n's P.O.V
Why...? Why does my heart ache this much? A woman that has the same nickname as me...her full name would obviously be Y/n.
"You okay there Y/n?" Ban questioned and I nodded as I tried holding back my tears. I can't cry in front of all these people...
"Let's go to the others, the final fight should be Diane and Meliodas." I spoke firmly and begun walking towards the others. Once this is over...I won't forgive Meliodas.
"Well it's my turn~!" Diane giggled cheerfully and soon grew angry when random women began to flirt with Meliodas.
"The captain is in for it now." King sighed and we all watched Diane run into the ring with anger in her eyes.
"Y/n are you alright? You look angry.." Elizabeth muttered as she was now in my hands. I smiled sadly and that's when tears began dripping down my cheeks. Damn it..
"I'll be fine in a bit, let's just focus on the fight." As the fight begun I couldn't help but feel angry at Meliodas still. There has to be some explanation...he wouldn't hurt me like this...or would he? I don't know about his past but I know one thing for sure...Meliodas would never intentionally hurt me.
"I've had enough of your perverted ways captain!!" Diane shouted as she punched Meliodas' cheek and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Why are you laughing Y/n?" King questioned and I tried to speak but laughed even more.
"Probably because seeing them bicker cheered her up dumbass~" Ban chuckled and I nodded in agreement. I want to learn more about Meliodas and whoever N/n is to him...but I won't force him to tell me. I know he will once he's ready!
"I'm not even interested in them though and you're just a friend Diane." Meliodas spoke calmly and he dodged her other attacks with ease. After a while they stopped fighting and looked a certain direction...so did Ban and King.
"Sir Ban...? Sir King...?" Elizabeth muttered and we watched them both walk into the ring too.
"I'm the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins...Meliodas!! You have ten seconds to leave before we kill you!!" Meliodas shouted loudly at the crowd and I was confused till I realized it was probably to save them from an attack.
"Y/n I need to get you to safety!" I looked behind me to see Howzer. He yanked my hand and I dropped Elizabeth! Luckily Hawk was close by and she landed on his back.
"Y/n!" Elizabeth shouted as Howzer took me away from them. Ten seconds had gone by and a big blast hit the ring, it was so strong it blasted me away from Howzer.
"Y/n!!" I could hear him scream and I collided into a boulder. Many of the townspeople were trying to run away and I began to worry. Could the holy knights have found us...? They're after me...and if they can't get me then they'd take Elizabeth.
"I need to find the others..." I mutter to myself and grunted in pain as I wandered around hoping to find at least one person I recognize.
"There you are! I was so worried!" I heard Elizabeth shout and noticed she was getting closer to me while sitting on Hawk.
"You're hurt! Man Meliodas must be angry right about now...when you got blasted he screamed for you." Hawk informed me and I blushed. Meliodas...was worried. I need to go find him! I need to let him know that I'm okay...
"Ah-!" Elizabeth gasped as she began to grow into her normal size again. She blushed in embarrassment as she covered her breasts. Moments later Ban arrived and handed me an unconscious Meliodas! How did he find us so quickly?!
"Take care of the captain!" Ban shouted seriously then ran off. I began to cry as I pulled Meliodas closer to me. His body looked so banged up...
"Meliodas...wake up..." I mutter softly and gently caressed his cheek. Who hurt him this badly...?
"E-Ellie?! Y/n too?!" That voice...Veronica! I smiled once I saw both her and Griamore.
"You're okay! So is Griamore!" I smiled even more and watched Veronica take off her jacket and gave it to Elizabeth so she wouldn't be naked in public.
"Thank you sister, though it's a bit breezy." Elizabeth giggled a bit and flinched when Veronica began to scream at her.
"Did you really think I was dumb stupid?! You're attacking holy knights with the traitor who tried to overthrow Liones!" Veronica shouted and I grew angry but it's to be expected. She doesn't know the truth..
"You don't understand!" Elizabeth shouted back and I glared at both Veronica and Griamore. If they dare hurt Meliodas...then they are my enemy. I have to protect him!
"Oh don't give me that! Meliodas is the worst of all, he's really a monster! One that brings destruction to everything around him!!" Veronica's words made me remember back in Domaly...Meliodas had a strange symbol on his forehead...but he's no monster. I can tell Elizabeth feels the same way.
"Sir Meliodas isn't like that at all! He would never do something so horrible!!" Elizabeth shouted angrily as she got close to both me and Meliodas. Veronica rolled her eyes and grabbed onto Elizabeth's hand.
"Let go of me!" Elizabeth begged and I looked down at Meliodas with tears still dripping down my cheeks.
"Meliodas wake up...! Get Elizabeth away from Veronica!!" I shouted and moments later Meliodas woke up. He pushed Veronica away from Elizabeth and I smiled. He heard my voice!
"I'm gonna protect both Y/n and Elizabeth...even if I die trying!" Meliodas declared with determination in his eyes. I stood up after wiping my tears away and stood in front of Elizabeth to keep her safe.
"It's just like Hendrickson said...he said Meliodas brainwashed both of you!" Veronica growled and took out a necklace with a big jewel attached. She began chanting something and Meliodas was sucked into it!
"Meliodas!!" I shouted and yanked the necklace away then grabbed onto Meliodas' sword. I pointed it at Veronica with anger in my eyes.
"Y/n..." Elizabeth muttered and Hawk rubbed against my leg. He was sad as well and wanted to comfort me...
"I want you to bring him back this instant!!" I shouted and grew even more angry when Veronica said she didn't know how.
"I hate you for this Veronica! You don't know Meliodas!! Not a single thing about him!!" Elizabeth shouted as well and Veronica then ordered Griamore to trap Elizabeth in a bubble.
"Elizabeth!" Hawk shouted as he tried hitting the bubble but it was no use.
"We found our targets Jericho~" I looked ahead and saw Guila with Jericho. They were both eyeing me and the sword...
"Free princess Elizabeth already Griamore, we might need her if Y/n doesn't cooperate." Jericho smirked and was about to run at me till Guila stopped her.
"It won't be fun if we take her away so quickly~ We'll give you a ten second head start." I immediately grabbed onto Elizabeth's hand and began to run as fast as I could. Veronica began to chase after us too.
"Ellie!! Y/n!!" Veronica shouted and moments later a blast hit us. I hugged Elizabeth close to me and I did the same for Veronica since she was close to me. I screamed in pain and once the smoke cleared I smiled when I saw they were both okay.
"Y/n!!!" I could hear Hawk screaming and my vision began to get blurry...no...not yet...I want to see Meliodas again...
"Meli...o...das..." I mutter softly as I looked at the necklace in my grasp. Elizabeth was hugging my body and screamed for Meliodas to wake up and save me.
"Don't close your eyes...Y/n." I heard Meliodas' voice and moments later he broke out of the necklace. He was surrounded in darkness...
"Captain!?" Ah...so Ban finally came back. Finally...I can rest in peace...
