Chapter 43: The Heroes

Y/n's P.O.V
Meliodas and the other sins...even if they were exiled from Liones they're still willing to risk their lives to protect it...
"Y/n~ You and Elizabeth stay with Hawk okay? Because of you two our strength is back so leave it to us~!" Meliodas smiled cheerfully but I still couldn't stop worrying about everyone...I don't want to lose anyone else. I won't be able to bare it...
"Meliodas..." I mutter softly but finally gave in and held Hawk close to me. Elizabeth began to hug Hawk as well while tears dripped down her cheeks. Hawk was the reason everyone smiled...
"Gowther!! We're going to do the attack we talked about!" Meliodas shouted as I gasped in shocked when Gowther stood up to put his head back on. It seems Diane and King were shocked as well.
"Roger that captain." Seconds later the light that was emitting from Gowther's fingers went into everyone's head, including mine. So then...Meliodas plans to absorb the attacks we give him in order to power up enough to defeat Hendrickson?! That's completely reckless!
"Meliodas! It's reckless!!" I shouted firmly as I gently handed Hawk over to Elizabeth so I could get closer to him. Getting hurt to save this place...why go that far?
"It's okay Y/n~ Since you know the plan then help me out alright~? I won't die and leave you behind~" Meliodas smiled cheerfully as he held onto my hand gently. That idiot always knows how to make me blush..
"Okay Meliodas!" I nodded with determination in my eyes. No matter what happens...Meliodas will come back to me no matter what.
"Get to Ban~" Meliodas chuckled as he disabled his powers so we could continue with the plan. When I got to Ban the fight had already begun!
"Why disable your powers? Do you really think you can defeat me like that?" Hendrickson spoke calmly as he continued to slash at Meliodas. Even if I knew this was apart of the plan...I couldn't stop worrying.
"The captain will be fine Y/n~" Ban smirked as he gently patted my head. I smiled up at him...so this was his way of cheering me up.
"I know but...I still hate the fact I can't do anything for him." The more wounds he gains from Hendrickson the more guilt I felt...
"You're stupid~ Just by being by the captain's side means so much to him~" Ban's words...I mean that much to Meliodas? I feel the same way...I love him dearly so that's why I will do all I can for him.
"Rising Tornado!!" Not only the wind are helping Meliodas...the holy knights of Liones are too.
"Just admit defeat already." Hendrickson turned away from everyone and looked into my eyes. He flew closer but Meliodas held him back with anger in his eyes.
"Your fight is with me punk!!" Meliodas shouted as more holy knights joined in on attacking him. It hurts...I can't watch this anymore.
"Do you really intend to sacrifice yourself just to slow me down? How commendable of you~" Hendrickson smirked as fire surrounded them both. That's it...I have to do something! Anything...
"Y/n!! What the hell are you doing?!" Ban shouted as I ran into the fire without hesitation. I held Meliodas close to me as my body began to glow brightly like a star..
"Y/n what are you...?" Meliodas muttered softly as my light kept Hendrickson at bay.
"Don't touch him!!" I shouted as my light pushed Hendrickson away from us. I want to stay by Meliodas' side...
"You really are an annoying pest Y/n~" Hendrickson smirked as he started walking towards us again as if my attack didn't hurt at all...can he not feel any pain?
"Meliodas...focus on the plan! Don't worry about me!" I smiled at Meliodas as I trapped Hendrickson in an orb of light hoping this would buy him enough time..
"Chastifol 4th form...Sunflower!!"
"Rush Rock!!"
As Diane and King attacked Meliodas I felt myself getting stronger somehow. Elizabeth...she's giving me the strength to keep Hendrickson inside the orb of light.
"I'm right here with you!" Elizabeth shouted with a warm smile on her face. I'm not alone...I never was.
"Banishing Kill~!" Ban smirked as he finally got to attack Meliodas.
"Is that enough captain~?" Ban added as Meliodas began to smirk as well. His body began to glow...!
"Yeah~ Y/n now!!" Meliodas shouted as I freed Hendrickson then ran to the side. This is the attack...that will decide the last one standing!
"It can't be...!"
"Oh yeah~ It can be...Revenge Counter!!"
The power Meliodas is emitting...it's so overwhelming. Even so...it's a power that is used for good. To protect not only me but everyone!
"Disabling his own magical powers allowed him to store and charge any attack he received and unleash them simultaneously. Unable to control such power he will inevitably self destruct. It isn't perfect but it's the best chance we've got." Gowther spoke calmly as he began to pose weirdly like he always did. I believe in Meliodas...I believe in the sins. I know we will win...no matter what.
"Given the damage you already received I estimate  your chance of survival is .2 percent! Good luck." Gowther kept a straight face as he spoke to Hendrickson. He didn't want to die and tried to escape...!
"Ark!!" I shouted and trapped Hendrickson in an orb of light once again. After what he's done...there's no way I'm letting him escape.
"You still don't get it do you Hendrickson? You walked away from everything important in your life...be prepared to lose. Because that...is your sin!!" Meliodas shouted as loud as he could while his attack hit Hendrickson head on. The light was so blinding...and once it was gone so was Hendrickson. All I saw was Meliodas fall from the sky and once he stood up he smiled at me. The smile that made me fall in love with him...
"Meliodas..." I mutter softly and moments later he fell to the ground once again.
"Captain...!"
"Sir Meliodas!"
I ran over to Meliodas with a smile on my face...he was ready to risk his life in order to protect me and everyone in Liones.
"I love you...Meliodas!" Tears of joy began to drip down my cheeks. Staring into his emerald orbs...I can see the love in them.
"Ehem~" I began to blush in embarrassment as I realized everyone was watching us. Not only that...the king and Merlin were back!
"Father you're here! I'm so glad to see you!!" Elizabeth shouted happily as she ran towards her father. The hate I felt towards the holy knights are no more...I accepted my father's death. I still need to get over Zaratras...I never got to tell him how much he means to me.
"Thank you again for healing me Y/n, as a reward I would like to give you this!" I look down at Bartra's hand and saw the same earring Elizabeth had on!
"Does this mean...?" I trailed off as Bartra began putting on the earring on my right ear while smiling.
"Welcome to the royal family, fourth princess of Liones...Y/n!" Everyone began to cheer for me and I couldn't stop smiling. Once the cheering died down all the holy knights began to bow...with sadness in their eyes.
"My king...we holy knights ask to be severely penalized. We strayed from our chosen path...give us your harshest sentence!" Guilthunder begged softly and I could tell he felt such guilt for what he did. He hurt Meliodas...and so many people.
"Very well, my sentence is this. From today you shall not rest in your service to the kingdom. You are holy knights of Liones!" Bartra declared firmly which such kind eyes...he has full faith in his knights. I admire that..
"But-" I cut Howzer off as I got close to him and patted his head while smiling.
"People make mistakes y'know? You grow from them!"
"You really are worthy of being a princess...Y/n." Howzer muttered as he hugged me close. I was shocked that he would do something like that in front of everyone!
"She's mine~" Meliodas whined as he pulled me away from Howzer. I blushed just from being this close to him...I love him.
"Well done Meliodas and all of the Seven Deadly Sins! We are in your debt. Despite being blamed for the actions of others you protected this kingdom and mostly importantly my daughters. As a king and as a devoted father...I thank you!" Bartra smiled as he put his hand on Elizabeth's shoulder and nodded at me.
"It wasn't that big of a deal~"
"Captain is right~ We just did what any good friend would've done! Didn't we~?"
After getting out of Meliodas' grasp I walked up to Bartra. I tried to stay strong but...I couldn't stop feeling guilty. If I was stronger...I could've saved those who died and Hawk.
"Y/n...your strength surpassed my expectations. Elizabeth you did well in finding the Seven Deadly Sins, I'm proud of both of you." Hearing Bartra's words...I couldn't hold back anymore causing tears to drip down my cheeks.
"I'm not strong...if I was I could've saved Hawk and everyone who died! What kind of princess am I supposed to be...?!" Meliodas walked up to me and held me close to his chest. Being in his arms...gives me strength.
"Hawk knows you did everything you could Y/n..." Meliodas muttered softly but even with that in mind...I could not stop crying.
"Master...I'm sorry. I know I said some nasty things to you before...I don't regret much but I regret that. It seems like everyone I start to care about...just ends up leaving me sooner or later." Ban stared down at Hawk's body...with sadness and guilt in his eyes. First Elaine...and now Hawk.
"We were lucky Ban. The captain could have easily died but the loss of the captain of scraps disposal had zero effect. It didn't hurt us at all." Gowther spoke calmly and Ban was so close to punching him but Merlin stopped it. The way Gowther spoke about it was cruel but...I know he means well. He doesn't understand feelings.
"Hawk...you can't quit the tavern without giving notice. Without you there...who will eat the scraps now?"
"We couldn't pull this off without you master...you deserve all the credit."
I ran over to Hawk's body and held him close. He died protecting both me and Meliodas...
"Hawk please...come back. I'll make Meliodas give you twice as much scraps...I promise!"
"Okay but remember you promised~" I gasped in shock from hearing Hawk's voice. I looked down and saw Hawk shrinking...he's alive but small!
"Hawk! Is that...really you?" I spoke softly as I wiped my tears away. He nodded and smiled happily at me.
"Yup~!" Everyone began cheering at the fact Hawk was still alive. I felt so happy...we are all still together.
"It's all over~!" Meliodas smiled cheerfully as he groped my breasts, not caring that everyone was watching. One chapter ends...and another will soon begin.

This is the ending of the first book and I plan to make a second one for season two. Would anyone even read it?😅
