- Winter's POV -

"Where have you been all this time!!?" Father screamed in my face as soon as he slammed the cave doors. I wasn't even scared this time, I was angry.

"I was looking for Summer, something her own father wasn't doing!" I shouted back at him, he looked shocked at my reply.

"How dare you talk to me like that"

"I can talk anyway I want. I'm so tired of you not letting me go out or do anything so of course I was going to swim away! Summer is my sister and I care about her dearly, I'm so worried about her but you aren't!" I screamed all over the cave without taking a breath. Autumn looked speechless in the corner of the room but father didn't answer.

"I am trying to protect my two daughters who haven't been stolen by these nasty humans yet. And you heard the king, no one is to leave the reef until the humans have given up searching, you're not going out again Winter" He said firmly before leaving the cave. I screamed in anger and slammed my tail against the door. I'm so done with having family.

"Why doesn't he care about Summer?!" I shouted to Autumn, she looked slightly scared.

Meanwhile outside the king arranged to have merguards at every reef to keep everyone protected and together, but I had other plans.

- Heidi's POV -

It was a new day and I was feeling excited, something I never feel. I'm usually dreading the next morning and wishing it was night time again. But today was different.

My hair was still in the plat which Winter had done for me but I took it out, it made my hair extremely curly and pretty. I felt pretty..

I ran down the stairs quickly and to the front door.

"Where are you going missy?" Mum said while raising her eyebrow.

"I'm uh.. Just going for a walk!" I said with a smile, she shook her head and laughed.

"You still have to clean the whole house silly! Im going out to a bingo game and your dad is fishing. So you'll be taking care of the house" She shouted while throwing a fluffy white scarf around her neck and pushing me away from the door.

"Bye!" She said while waving her hand in a posh way and jumping into the car. I sighed loudly.

This is the way I'm treated everyday, I'm not a daughter to them I'm a maid. They don't love me like parents should do, they treat me like a servant or a dog. I rarely get anything to eat except for free lunch at school. I don't have any friends because my parents only let me have one shower a week, they say I "waste the water". Which means I smell bad all week and my hair is extremely greasy. Another reason why I get bullied. And because of this I'm always feeling sad and unwanted, obviously.

Life is not so great.
