- Heidi's POV -

I have had enough of all this bossing around and being treated like a slave. I was done with it all.

In that moment I just wanted to die, I have nothing to live for either. So what is the point in going on? I dropped the bags which I packed and left the house with nothing, I didn't need anything where I was going..

I walked slowly down the street with my head staring down at the path which I walked on. My head was spinning with all the thoughts I had floating around, but I didn't know what to do. As soon as I reached the end of the street I turned left towards the beach. But I wasn't going to the beach, I was going to the pier.

I stepped onto the wooden walk way in my bare feet, it was extremely warm from the sun beaming down on it all morning. I took a deep breath and continued to walk.

There was no body around, which was surprising. But that was better for what I was about to do. After a minute of walking I began to sprint towards the very end of the pier where the huge drop into the water was..

Here I go.

- Winter's POV -

My heart ached harder every second. I cried loudly and Maria cried too. She had no idea what was going on.

"Winter stay here I'm going to get someone to come and help you!" She shouted in panic before trying to swim away.

"I need to get to Heidi! Right now!" I screamed while holding my right hand on my chest, the pain was unbearable.

"Heidi? Who's that?" She said before swimming back over to me, I pushed her out of the way and struggled to swim out of the rock area. I dropped into the dark slightly and Maria held me up.

"Winter where are we going! You need help right now!" Maria said while shaking violently, I ignored her and swam slowly towards the beach. My heart was aching and beating so fast, what the hell is wrong?

Maria gave up on talking and held me up as I swam, she must be so confused as to where I was taking her. A moment later we were almost at the beach and she gasped.

"Why are we going to the surface thats where the humans are!"

"H-Heidi" I mumbled while still struggling. Then an unfamilar deep voice echoed above us..

"HEIDI NO!" It screamed. Then suddenly me and Maria were pushed deeper under the water, it was like we were hit by something.

"Winter lets get out of here! Its a human!" Maria screamed, I opened my eyes and looked up to see Heidi floating down. There was blood rising from her and my heart was in complete dying mode.

I grabbed Heidi around the waist and swam up towards the surface, Maria followed me. Our heads came up from the water and I held Heidi tightly while glancing at her face, I felt so sad.

Then a familiar huge white object came sailing towards us, oh dear.

"WINTER WE ARE LEAVING RIGHT NOW" Maria screamed before trying to pull me away from Heidi. I screamed in her face and held onto Heidi for dear life, I don't care if her father takes me away.

"Its mermaids! They have Heidi!" A deep voice shouted from the object, there were also siren noises coming from land.

Maria grabbed me and pulled me under water before the object could get any closer, she is extremely strong for a mergirl. Heidi was left floating alone in the sea.

"NO PLEASE I NEED HER" I screamed in torture while Maria pulled me deeper into the ocean.

"We're going to be caught, lets go!" She said before swimming off, I glanced up at Heidi's body to see it being lifted from the water. Then I turned away and followed Maria.
