9:50pm. I'm early but I'd rather be early then late, as that's usually how I find myself. I'm sat on the floor in the hallway beside the door to Snape's classroom. I wonder what he's going to make us do for work, maybe patrol, pick up trash, no one really knows, it's Snape.
I hear footsteps echo in the hall they're getting louder and getting closer. I look up from my hands to see a tall, tired looking blond. "You alright?" I ask as Draco reaches me.
"Spectacular." He won't make eye contact with me so I stand from my spot on the ground.
"Maybe you should ask to take your punishment in the morning, sleep is important. You look like you need it."
Draco connects his gaze to mine, "Stop making fun of me," he spits.
"I wasn't trying to, just being honest," I hold up my hands.
"Yeah, well let's just hope this doesn't take long."
Draco stands on the wall, left of the door, so he's on the opposite side of the door as me. I take my seat back on the floor and we stay in silence. Once five minutes passes, and it's past 10:00pm, I open my mouth. "Shouldn't he be here?" I look up to find Draco standing impatiently. He's shaking a leg out of nerve.
  "Yes," is all he says.
I stand and as I do Draco knocks on Snape's door. "What are you doing?" I ask.
"Isn't it obvious?" When no one answers to his knocking he speaks again, "He's not here." Draco starts down the hallway.
"You can't just leave!" I call.
  "Watch me," he yells back.
"Draco Malfoy," the door beside me opens and Snape is quick to call to the blond. Snape's voice is loud and harsh, and it wasn't even directed towards me. Draco stops in his tracks and turns but doesn't start back down the hall towards us. "Inside," Snape points into his classroom. I follow his orders and head inside.
I hear Draco's footsteps coming back towards the classroom. I've taken a seat at the front of the room when Draco enters the classroom, he finds me with his eyes and takes a seat behind me. Snape stands in front of us and sits on his desk edge. "Are you going to be able to behave, Mr.Malfoy?"
"Yes," Draco answers. I keep my eyes to the front.

Snape gives us our punishment and we're off on our way. We're to clean a few pots that have stuff stuck to the bottom from making positions wrong, something we've all done at least once. Meaning, Draco and I are stood side-by-side scrubbing pots. I can feel the discomfort coming off of Draco.
"Are you alright?" I ask.
"Yeah," Draco spits. "I just can't believe we're doing this, this isn't work for my hands."
"Your hands?" I ask, raising my eyebrows with a smile.
"Yes, this is peasant work."
"Oh right. I'm sorry my high and mighty sir," I mock. "Allow me t-"
"Enough," Draco tires to cut me off but I continue.
"-o be of use. I'll clean all these pots on my own just-"
"I said, enough!"
I don't let Draco's temper cut me off but the sound of a pot breaking causes me make a small jump and to let out a small noise. My gaze is ripped from the floor to Draco's when he grabs me by the collar of my shirt. "Stop. I am not some over privileged daddies boy!" He lets go of me roughly and I stumble a little.
  "I-I'm sorry."
Draco picks up a new pot and starts to scrub at it, his face in a snarl. "Can't believe this." He continues to mumble to himself, "A Hufflepuff annoying me?"
I stop starring at him I'm disbelief and take a spot beside him again. This time not as close. I stay quiet and just accept his complaints, letting him be angry and annoyed.
We had one last pot left and I grabbed before Draco could, not wanting to hear his complaints anymore. When he notices he's quick to dry his hands. "Finally," he mumbles. How can one person mumble for so long? Draco turns and leans on the sink behind him, crossing his arms over his chest.
"You should head back to your common room and get some sleep," I suggest.
  "I'll wait."
"Okay," I reply, I'm not getting him mad at me again. The room falls quiet so I open my mouth again to speak but, Draco is quick to talk.
  "You deserve an apology."
"What?" I ask and look his way, still scrubbing the last pot. "Did you just-?"
He seems to be having trouble admitting what he did. "I-..." he clears his throat but I don't let him continue.
"Actually," I scuff, "I'm sorry. It was my fault." He smirks at my reply. "But," I continue, "you had no right to react like that. It was rude." Draco's eyes roll when he looks at me. I finish off the last pot and dry my hands. "You literally picked me up by the collar so don't roll your eyes at me," I spit.
Draco only scuffs. I ignore him and start towards the hallway. "Where are you going?" he asks.
"I'm heading back to my common room."
"Wait," Draco pushes off of the sink behind himself and his long legs brings him to me quickly. "I'll walk you."
"Walk me?" I ask. He nods and we start down the hall towards the Hufflepuff common. I let him walk me but it wasn't a far walk, so once I get to the common I try and dismiss him. "Go get some sleep, Draco."
He nods, "I will."
"You're not supposed to know how to get in to the Hufflepuff house," I add.
"I know, I just..." he drags on and doesn't continue, but in one swift movement he grabs me by the collar again and brings me close enough so our noses are touching. I'm shocked but not upset by the action. He kisses my nose and lets go of me. What was that? What's going on?
"Uh, Goodnight," and with that he's walking away.
