We managed to talk till dinner, then we ate awkwardly at the table with Draco's parents and have made it till now. Still in the dining room talking, Draco's mother has left awhile ago, his father just leaving now. I assume he got bored eavesdropping on our conversations, it was clear he was.
Draco glances to see his fathers back as he leaves and gains his so natural-looking, disgusted scowl. "I can't believe him sometimes."
I cock my head to the side. "Is he really that bad?" I ask in a hushed voice.
He looks towards the dining room entrance and then back to me. "He's so hard on me. I can't seem to live up to his expectations sometimes."
I give Draco a look of pity. "I'm sorry." He discards my apology and stands from his spot at that table.
"Let's go, we can watch a movie in my room."
I stand and start to follow him, "Okay." We make our way upstairs and to Draco's room. It's neat and the curtains are closed creating a dim lighting. Surprisingly his room is filled with mostly light shades like whites and greys. The only colour in his room, though, is green. He really attracts to that Slytherin aesthetic.
Draco picks up a TV remote from a bedside table and flicks on the TV, the DVD logo shows and starts to bounce around the screen. "You can pick a movie," Draco says to me. He opens a small DVD cabinet, which the TV us sat on. It's filled with movies. I start to read some to myself. Home alone, Terminator, Ghostbusters, Back to The Future....
I laugh, "Toy Story?"
"Yeah?" He's offended, showing a scowl again.
"It's a kids movie, isn't it? I didn't think you'd watch kids movies," I jokingly tease.
"It's a family movie, it's not just for kids. Plus I've never watched it, I just have it in here." I connect my eyes with his and he quickly loses his scowl as it fades to a relaxed face. He looks down onto my smile.
"Oh really?" I ask. He nods in response but the room falls quiet as we continue to look into each other's eyes. His blue eyes dancing in my eyes as we take what seems like forever to speak again. "I'm not one to judge," I say, but it's barley a whisper. Draco gives me a small side smile and looks down to his hands, taking mine into his.
"I know," is all he says.
We stand quietly till I feel too awkward to stand there any longer, "How about we watch Home Alone, Christmas in June style."
Draco and I start the movie and are sat on his bed, or well I am. I'm sat crisscrossed and he's laying on his back, using his head board to prop himself up. "You can lay down you know," Draco offers. I look back at him and scoot up the bed to sit against the head board. "That works too," he says.
I roll my eyes at him and lay my head down on his shoulder. "Can I lay my head on you?" I ask.
"Yeah," his answers simple. I tilt my head up to look at him and see a small pink tint on his cheeks.
"You're blushing," I smile wide sitting up again to face him better.
"Am not," his face goes hard. "It's just warm in this jumper."
"Bull crap," I continue to tease. Draco only rolls his eyes and sits up, pulling at the top of his hoodie and pulling it off completely. His shirt slides up with it and I feel my own face warm up. Of course something like that would happen.
Draco looks back at me, once his hoodies off, with a smirk. "Now who's got that blush."
"Whatever," I cover my face slightly. I'm not even sure he knew why I was blushing, because of his tone, but I know he enjoys to tease me back. We quietly get comfy again and continue to watch the movie.
Draco hums. I think he's talking to myself but I ignore it, or I do until he wraps his an arm around me pulling me into him. He mumbles, "Hey, is this okay?" I sit up out of his grasp, he has a faint confused look on his face but it fades when I smile. I move so I'm more in his lap. He kisses my cheek, "I see how it is, before wasn't good enough?" I shake my head jokingly.
"Nope."
