When I woke up and headed to the grand hall for breakfast I noticed the back window smashed, a couple big wholes taken out of it, and the room clean and dark.
I realized all the sad and crying faces meant something and I had missed it last night while I was asleep.
"Luna," I find the blonde in a crowd of Ravenclaws, "what's going on?" She has a few tears of her own on her cheek.
"S-Snape killed Dumbledore."
Her breath hitches as I pull her into a hug. She hugs back and starts to cry again. "I don't know what's going to happen now." I pull away from her and look around the hall. We're right in front of the grand hall.
"May I have everyone's attention?" It's Ms.McGonagall. Only about half of the students usually pay attention at first but today is different, by definition. "As you all know something no one could imagine happening happened last night. As we stand, there is no head master of Hogwarts." The room whispers and starts to cause a small commotion. McGonagall speaks again. "There by-, silence!" The room falls quiet, so quiet that a pin dropping could be heard from anywhere near by. "There by cancelling school for the season. You should all pack up and get ahold of your guardians."
After her speech the lot of us are left still standing in place but slowly people start to pick off and head to their commons. "I can't believe it," I murmur to myself. Luna is still stood beside me but agrees with a nod.
"How about we pack up? I'll meet you at Hogsmeade."
I nod as she walks off. I let my eyes scan the room once more before I head back to my common. No Draco today.
Once I've returned back to my common I find a room with no one else and send my Patronus with a message to Draco. I have a feeling I won't be seeing him anytime soon so I let him know that all students are leaving school and to get in contact with me when he can, or when it's safe to."A wedding?" I'm on the phone with Luna.
"Yes, it'll be beautiful, you should come." I ponder for a moment. "Please? I wouldn't wanna dance alone."
I smile to myself, "Alright, fine. Do I have to wear a dress tho?"
"Come on, it's only one night."
"Fine, fine. But-"
"Don't worry," Luna cuts me off. "It'll be fun."
