I didn't think we'd be getting that bad of a punishment due to Umbridge's wording, but boy was I wrong. I'm sitting in a classroom, along with all the other students that were a part of "Dumbledore's Army". It's past curfew so I'm usually spending this time in the dorms. Umbridge has quills for all of us, leaving us all with scars and hatred. I know Draco wants to see me once I'm out of here so I'm probably not going to hear the end of it.

When were finally let out of the horrible classroom, I'm quick to leave, starting down the closest hallway which should bring me to the Hufflepuff dorms quickly. But, I'm stopped.
I'm pulled by the arm by Draco, he's got a smile showing on his face, "Hey."
"What's got you in a good mood?" I ask. I assume he doesn't know what we just had for a punishment, not that he would have. Just because he's part of Umbridge's little group doesn't mean he'd know what our punishment was.
He moves his gaze from the direction I just came from and looks to me and loses his smile. "What was your punishment?"
"I asked you a question first," I state.
"I'm just happy to see Potter finally get what was coming his way," he cocks his head to the side while looking down at me. "What was the punishment? Did it hurt?"
I hold out my hand from within my cape. Draco takes it into his hand and reads it, reading what the whole group had just wrote. "It's not anything I've haven't gotten before."
"That doesn't matter," Draco's trying not to rub his thumb across my hand, he looks back to my face and my eyes lock with his.
"Yes, it hurt." I pull my hand from him, "And it obviously still does."
"Right, we should get going," he turns and takes ahold of my other hand and starts us down the hallway. "Don't want Umbridge to find us."
"What do you mean? We're going back to our dorms she shouldn't have a reason to punish us." Draco only smirks as we continue to walk hand in hand. I wait for him to speak but he doesn't. "Right, Draco?" I ask but he still stays quiet.
He walks us past the stairs to the Hufflepuff dorm and the kitchen, taking us to, or through, an empty courtyard. "We have to be quiet."
"Draco, it's late, let alone a Monday. We'll both be tired tomorrow."
Draco stops us a little past the middle of the courtyard, "Do you trust me?"
"I'm not sure if I should," I tease. Draco rolls his eyes and continues walking, our hands no longer together, and I follow. We make our way out of the castle and to the field by the quidditch field. The grass is green under us, although it is cold out.
Draco slips off his shoes and socks. "What are you doing? You're going to catch a cold," I scold him. He only chuckles at me and runs till he's a little ways away.
"Come on, it's better when you take your shoes and socks off."
  "I'm not-"
"Come on," he nudged me again. I roll my eyes and take my shoes and socks off, the grass is cold and slightly wet under my feet. It did rain a little bit ago.
  "It's cold," I respond.
"That's all?" he chuckles at me. I return it with a smile.
  "Mmmm," I hum, "it's wet."
Draco rolls his eyes at me, "It is. But doesn't it feel good?"
I shrug, I've made my way to him by now, "I suppose."
"All the time we're locked up in that castle, talking your shoes off and enjoying the wet grass feels like freedom."
I slightly laugh at the boy, but he's not wrong. Umbridge keeps us all locked up and so prim and proper, we lost most of our freedom. I nod, "This is nice, thank you."
Draco smiles and takes off his cape, laying in on the ground before sitting on it. He pats a spot beside him and I take a seat on his cape as well. From here I can smell the grass, it's sweet but sharp and it has a hint of dirt due to it being so short.
Draco and I sit quietly looking out at the castle. It's dark but the light from any remaining, awake, rooms are bright, you can only make out the castle as a shadow. The stars from the sky flick and shoot, making the moon look weak, and making my attention move from the castle to the sky. I watch the stars and rest my head on Draco's shoulder. I can hear his breathing, mine and the crickets. The castles sounds can't reach us, we're too lost in a new found haven.
My hands are holding me up behind, my legs criss-crossed, same as Draco's. He moves his hand to the one of mine that's closer to him so we're holding hands in a way. "I appreciate this." he says.
Whether I'm too tired or too in aw I just hum back. It really is a sight to see, and it's all for him and I. And only us.
