The sun pours into the room and we all eventually settle. I praise Neville once I find him. He thanks me. Luna sits beside him and I smile at her leaving them to themselves. I grab myself a hot drink and find a seat by the door to enjoy the view and my drink. I can feel the happy and positive energy in the room but something in me won't let me enjoy it. I need to make sure someone's okay before I can move on. Harry, Ron and Hermione walk past me and outside to the bridge. That's where I seen him last, where did he go? I get up from my spot and start running. I run down the bridge and past the Harry, Ron and Hermione. They're stood in a row and Hermione calls for me but I don't stop. "(Y/N)?!"
I keep running, taking small breaks for breath, until I get to Hogsmeade. Once there I stop and fall to my knees, I'm out of breath and have nowhere to go now. My legs are burning and my lungs hurt. I move from my knees to my butt, doing so I notice my knees are scrapped from falling. I wipe them off from dirt and curl into a ball, bring my knees to my chest and holding them with my arms. Where did they go? Home? How could they just leave? Why did they take him away from the fight? Do they actually care about him, and why are they only now showing it? I send my patrons, with the last bit of energy I have left, to find Draco. I stay where I am, sitting and sulking.
Within minutes I hear the sound of a warp spell, I keep my eyes to the ground not sure if it's him or someone else. There's a sigh.
"You called?" I try not to smile to his voice but I can't help it. I stand up and pull him in for a hug but it's not long. I pull away and hit him in the shoulder.
"Why did you leave?! Why did you join your parents?" I hit him again. "They always act like they don't care so why did you-," I go to hit him again but he stops me, taking ahold of my wrist and making me stop mid sentence. "Let me go," I try and pull my arm from his hand.
"Stop hitting me!" I'm taken back by his tone. "I didn't want to. They were pressuring me and I was scared, okay? Believe it or not I was worried Potter was dead!"
My gaze is on the ground. "I'm sorry," I whisper. Draco looks past my anger, and his, and hugs me. His arms hold me tight to him. I start to cry. "I'm so glad you're okay."
He rubs my back, "Me too." I let a short laugh out and pull away slightly. "I mean, I'm glad you're okay too." We both share a smile and Draco kisses my head. "I'm sorry for leaving. My mom practically dragged me out of there."
"It's alright, I was just worried."
Draco nods and looks at his feet. "Did you know my mom lied to Voldemort? Apparently Potter was never dead and my mother told Voldemort he was. She asked Potter if I was still alive and when he told her I was she lied."
I look at Draco with my eyebrows together. "Why? I mean I'm glad but..." I drag on.
"She cares too much about me. We're not all like my father."
"I suppose."
"You suppose?" Draco teases, smiling. I nod with a similar smile. I hug him again. "I'm sorry for leaving you in your room all alone after-"
"Draco," I stop him.
"What?"
I hit him again, "You're stupid. Letting me do that with you, I'm sixteen! You know that's illegal?!"
He nods, "I deserve that one."
"What if I-. What if I get pregnant?!"
Draco's eyes widen, "Woah. You're stretching this a bit far."
"How?" I ask. "I can't take on the responsibility, I'm still kid myself."
"You're stressing me out, baby, just calm down." I bite my tongue to stop myself from talking. "Don't panic, okay? I'm sure you're not," he hesitates, "you know."
I nod. "What if I am?"
"Baby," he scolds.
"I'm sorry, I'm just-. So much has happened today." Draco nods and pulls me into a hug again.
"I know. But we'll be alright now."
