It's been a long couples days, or day and a half. I'm in the Hufflepuff common room, as it's past 8:00pm, reading some notes from today. I'm thankful to say I'm starting to get a grip on charms, nothing too exciting though. The charms teacher was actually quite surprised when I came to them claiming I was lacking behind. But, they understood and helped me out, now I'm getting back on track.
That's only about my classes in the past days, if we're talking socializing you could say it's been eventful. Between kissing Draco and Luna's gossip about Harry Potter, I've been quite busy. It's been crazy.
Speaking of crazy, I watch as a few Hufflepuff enter the common. I greet them, but ones quick to start a conversation. "Someone's at the common entrance looking for you." The "someone" in their sentence sounds annoyed, like they didn't want to see whoever's outside the room.
  "Who," I ask.
"Go see for yourself." So I do. I get up from my spot on a couch in the common and leave the room. I'm met by Mr.Malfoy in the hallway.
"Hey," he greets me, but it's a breathy whisper.
"Uh, hi. Are you alright?" I ask.
He nods, "Heard from some friends you're not doing too well in charms class."
I smile and shake my head, "That's not true."
"You asked the teacher for help."
"Yeah, but I've gotten back into the swing of it," I state.
"Have you now?" He asks. I nod to him. "Well if you need any help," he looks down the hallway on his right, "I wouldn't be opposed to help."
"Thanks, Draco, but I'm all good."
Now is his turn to nod, "I'm off then." He pushes himself off the wall he was leant on and starts to walk down the hall. I pull my lower lip from my teeth.
"Wait," he stops in his tracks. "I-I am struggling." I watch as he turns to face me with a smirk. "I used to be able to zone out in that class and now I can't pay enough attention. I'm struggling and I don't know why."
"You're not going to know it all," he words come of as rude but I know they don't me to be. "Maybe this year just isn't your year."
"But I'm doing fine in all my other classes," I say.
"Maybe so, but the classes change as you move up."
I nod, he is right, "Yeah, I suppose."
Draco reaches me and places a hand on my cheek. "Don't worry too much of charms. Make sure you get some sleep."
"It's 10:00pm," I say.
"So? You look tired."
"Oh," I start to joke, "for once it's not you who looks tired."
"Oh shut it, Hufflepuff," he jokes back but it's in a soft tone.
I wait for Draco to move his hand from my face before starting back to the Hufflepuff common's entrance. I turn to see Draco still watching me. "You can't tell me to get some sleep and not do the same," I tease.
"Why not?" he smirks.
"It's not fair," I return his smirk with a smile. He rolls his eyes at me but walks off down the hall towards the stairs.
I enter the Hufflepuff common and find it empty. Everyone must be asleep already. I find my notes still on one of the couches and take a seat, I'll finish studying before I sleep.
