Dylan
I was caught in classes today and I almost forgot about dad when a call came in from the hospital, so I called Melinda hoping she would lend me a helping hand. "Hey sis, could you er... sign the form in dad's hospital to er... send him off? I forgot to tell you he em... he... he died." There was silence not long after, silent sobs sprang through the phone, and tears couldn't help but fall from my eyes.
Finally, she answered, "Of course, go back to class, I'll take care of it."
During class, Paul and Mark came up to sit beside me. "You okay bro?" Paul pried into my thoughts, 'Ye... I'm fine."
Mark challenged, "Then why the tears, you a baby?" I couldn't even be bothered to glare at him, I just bailed out and headed to the toilet to wash up.
When I headed out of the bathroom, Brayleigh, Emily, Theresa along with some girls, were chatting busily amongst themselves, both Emily and Brayleigh turned to look at me, both eyes so piercingly gorgeous, keeping me held there in their grasp, sending a burning sensation down my body. I trained my focus to Brayleigh as Theresa and the other girls looked over, they leered at me, and started walking over when Mark and Paul yanked me away. I looked at Mark, "You don't want to get caught up in girl mess." He mentioned.
Realization and confusion aroused as I began to think that maybe Brayleigh was just looking at Mark. Mark had gloated a look at Brayleigh and she blew him a kiss as if I wasn't even standing in their presence. I groaned softly in complain and headed off.
Brayleigh
We were just chatting about some new fashion trend as my mind lingered to Mark's touch, his lips, his torso so visible under that white shirt that I'm so sure once soaked over water, would leave him as good as naked. His voice so deep, making me drown in it, making me long for him to speak forever, and that's when I saw him. Oh god is it that hard to avoid someone? I stared at him for what seemed like forever until I noticed that Emily had sighed at his sight. Was he looking at me? Oh shit this is so embarrassing.
Then, I began shifting my gaze to Mark pretending like I never noticed Dylan.
Mark had yanked Dylan away from his position as all the girls in my gang turned to graze at him. I was not sure if I felt grateful or disappointed, but when Mark shot me a smug look, I decided to blow him a kiss to inform everyone, including Dylan, that we, are taken.
After that, we all split into our classes and for the rest of the day, I was occupied with work thrown in from everywhere. My finals was beginning and I was so sure I was going to ace this. I took a deep breath in, and before I headed into class, I saw him. Again. Ugh. He was coming towards me, but instead he walked past me and into the classroom behind me. My teacher's question shot right at me as I forced myself to focus on her voice, "Miss Rose, the exam will begin soon, are you coming or too nervous to step inside?" I shook my head and stepped in and took my seat.
Finals were surprisingly easy for mathematics and sciences and I was in fact left with plenty of time after the paper to daydream about the time me and Dylan studied. Wait, Dylan?
As I handed in my papers, I contemplated on whether to meet Dylan outside his classroom, but what would I say to him? Sorry? Sorry for what though? Sorry for being an asshole for not dating you?
I have my own rights, so I gave up on talking to him and ditched that plan to look for Mark. I have been searching for the past five minutes, but there was no sign of him anywhere, I glanced at the time and remembered that me and Emily's make up modelling session is today. I have only one hour more before modelling starts. There was no text from Mark, no call either. I wondered where he went.
