The next to chapters will all be Brayleigh
I dragged my feet past the hallways to the results room. Passing by classes that were filled with the murmurs of students I ignored.
Just as I was having some peace, Ava chose to show up at this time. "Oh my god, is pop girl, shy girl now?"
"Just... deep in thoughts." I mumbled. All Mark. Just Mark.
"Thinking of what? Your loser boyfriend?"
"The only one who's thinking of him more than usual is you." I spit and glared furiously at her.
"What the--- you look like crap, Brayleigh. What's wrong? He broke up with you?" She teases, or at least tries to.
"You seriously like him so bad? So bad you want him to break up with me just so you can stick your fat ass in?"
"What... I... just... shut up!" She turned bright pink, stammering.
"No! You shut up! You don't even know the shit I'm going through right now and you're being an idiot standing here bullshitting me when I'm obviously not into your games anymore!"
"What the hell is wrong with you? If you think I was ever going to date your 'pet', you're wrong. I'm with Tony, and he's ob---" I laughed, only ridiculing her more, "Oh my gosh, Ava, this is ludicrous, you expect me to believe that? Why not you ask your 'pets'," I pointed at the others behind her, "about what happened to your stupid boyfriend?"
She looked behind her, her confounded look, showing clear confusion and left her dumbfounded. "Are you all just going to stand there, staring like pathetic wimps?"
"You're such a bitch no one would even want to talk to you, but I'm nice, and I'm warning you, if you're going to keep," My fingered circled around us, "this up, I'm going to make sure you join your boyfriend in jail, and if happens to Mark, I'm not only going for Tony, I'm coming for you if you even, ever, speak a word to me or touch me. Oh right! Just so you know, Tony cares for no one but himself, he offered money to lie with me in bed, how pathetic is that? He shot Mark! How pathetic can you two be? I guess you are both just meant to be!" I strut off leaving her stuttering for breath. My fists clenched, my breath wavering with rage.
"I... I will never believe you! You hear me? Don't think you can get away with this!"
"Oh, but I already did! Call your darling and see how he's doing, he'd love to hear your voice when you finally realize that you are nothing to him!"
"Asshole!"
"Ye! I bet you don't have one!" I smirked at the delight of my roast, it felt so good.
I was getting restless in my seat, when they finally called my name, "Brayleigh Amelia Rose, you are certified to leave for college as the best scoring candidate for this exam, congratulations Brayleigh!" I walked up, my face was straight not giving away any emotions, something I learnt from my mum. He handed the certificate, and the moment I got it, I left the school.
I found myself in Mark's hospital bed again.
The nurses had said that he was suffering from a coma, and he might not make it because one of his eternal jugular vein had been damaged along with his Inferior Vena Cava, and he was losing a lot of blood internally. His state today was unspoken, he seemed to turn more paler every day, his heart rate lower, his breathing softer until I could no longer hear him breathe. I was worried, that operation was supposed to improve his condition but he was getting worse by the hours.
