Brayleigh suddenly took on a pale look, as if she'd been painted with white-wash, even her lips had turned a purplish-white.
Then, with one step backwards she crumpled like a puppet suddenly released from her strings, towards the ground. "Bray!"
"Toilet......" She muttered as she became conscious. I hurried her there and finally, the vomit came out looking like undigested food and stomach acid. Her blanched face painted with disgust and apologies and she sank to her bottom, she resisted from touching her hair with her fouled hands. As she leaned forward the last of it dribbling from her lips and her stomach turned over one more time as I held her hair back.
What a damn sick day! I scowled at the puke and flushed it down after taking a last glance at it and watched Bray clean up her beautiful face. "You look like shit right now."
"Damn right I do." I stared at her, she looked like she was in a shitty condition, so I rushed back to the kitchen, finish the cooking and helped her sit on the chair once she had cleaned up. "Eat." I ordered firmly, she took a first bite and I offered to call Emily. "Yes, please." A click and Ems picked up, "What? Oh right, how are you two?"
"This is kind of uncalled for."
"Of course! I planned it to surprise you."
"No like the 'Brayleigh just vomited her guts out' part."
"Holy f--- I'm coming!"
"Thanks."
"No problem." I looked over at Brayleigh.
Every time she looks at me it feels as if every ounce of breath is taken from my lungs and floats in suspense in the air like smoke. The time we kissed, it felt like the world stopped, leaving just the two of us to wander the earth together. Every time she touches me, it felt like she was untying all of my stomach knots. I guess this is what falling in love was like, a story that you would never want to end. For so long I had longed for it, and now I can't bare to lose it - lose this thing that makes me feel so complete, but I was too late, she is taken and she had left me empty.
She must have noticed my change of expression, because she apologized, "I'm really sorry... about everything, and the kiss that wasn't supposed to happen." She looked like she was forcing every ounce of energy to utter those words that had pierced me in my sensitive skin and heart. "Look it was o---"
"Don't you dare say it's fine. Can't you see? Something like this was not supposed to happen. What if Mark finds out?"
"Then he should just shove it up his as---"
"Dylan!"
"What?"
"I'm... I'm falling for you... and I can't! I love Mark, and I don't want to hurt him!"
"I know, but have you ever thought that you had... you had maybe hurt... me?" She gasped and lowered her head, f*ck love triangles!
"Sorry." She said after a while.
At that moment, someone just had to knock at the damn door. "Brayleigh!" Emily shouted as she got it, it felt as if I had just released an animal from its cage. "What the hell happened to you?"
"Migraines. Nothing unusual."
"Nothing unusual?" She repeated, "Are you even hearing yourself? You literally j---"
"Ems I'm fine, please just stop, talking only makes it worse."
"I am so so so sorry." She apologized, Brayleigh shook her head and said, "I'm still going surfing with you guys."
