A girl broken by the death of her brother and her best friend seems fine on the outside but is torn from the inside.
A boy struggling to handle the death of his girlfriend looks like he's on a good path of recovery but soon fal...
Today, is Bray's final exam date. It was also time for me to drop back to my bar for a full day. I was still drowned with thoughts about Brayleigh. I wanted to do something to myself for not being able to get her out of my damn head. I hit it against the table when Levi came over, "Restless night?"
"F*ck ye." I mumbled. The bar has hundreds of conversations, all of them competing with the rock music that dominates the atmosphere. The crowd is young, mostly packed with students from the university some younger, a handful of middle aged men and women, and rarely elderly. Levi winds his way through the warm bodies to pour someone a drink only to realize it was Sasha, his ex. "Holy freak!" I could make out their little conversation but couldn't hear their voices.
The woman in red said, "Hey honey, what'ya doing here?" Levi gave her a stiff reply, "I work here. What are you doing here?"
"Isn't it obvious? I'm forgetting."
"Ya right like how you cheated on me for that, that bitch?"
"Look he was playing me, believe me when I say I really didn't know he was a cheat."
"I told you, you didn't listen, I think it f*king serves you right."
"Please, Levi, give me another chance, I swear I didn't mean it, I'm sorry, very sorry."
"Talk to you later Sash, I've got to go."
"Thanks." She mumbled gratefully before he walked back to me. "Your ex?" I asked the moment he came back. "Ye." He looked a little sad but I didn't really took it to heart.
"How old is she?"
"Twenty one."
"So... that makes her one year younger than you?"
"Ye." I nodded and looked at him, "Then, give it to her, show her what real boyfriend material is."
"Whoa man. That is easier said than done."
"Tell me, what thing is ever easier done than said?"
"I don't know? Eating? Sleeping? Nothing?"
"Exactly! Nothing! There are times you find simple stuff like eating and sleeping harder than some movie stars make it seem. So, I suggest you give her another go, see how it goes and you call me after, alright?"
"Ye, thanks bro. Sometimes, I feel like you're so much more older than me."
"You got that right." I laughed as he waved me goodbye.

I scribbled the last answer and checked my paper just in time before the bell rung and the teacher announced, "Students, please place you pens down."
