Fayette took her head off of the door and walked back downstairs before the boys saw her. Faye didn't know how to react. She knew she couldn't say what Jack needed her to, and she couldn't let him know that. Fayette decided to do something that was probably a bad idea, but she told herself it was right.

"Hey Faye," Jack said, walking downstairs in front of Jonah.

"Hey," She replied. Jack planted a quick kiss on her lips before heading back into the backyard. Jonah smiled at her and Faye returned a very forced one.

"Fuck me," Fayette thought.

After an unforgivably hot day, everyone had migrated into their rooms. Jack and Faye were laying on his bed, watching Netflix and enjoying each other's company. As the credits of the movie started playing, Faye realized she had to say it now before it was too late.

"Hey, Jack," Faye said, sitting up.

"Hm," Jack hummed, watching Faye.

"You are a great person, better than I will ever be," Faye began, "And I know that you deserve more than I can give you. And, being in a relationship while we're in different continents isn't going to be healthy. I really, really like you but I can't give you what you need."

Jack looked like his whole world just shattered to a million pieces, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I'm going back go Paris tomorrow and I don't think we should continue our relationship," Fayette told him. Tears were threatening to spill from Jack's eyes now, all the while Fayette looked like she was saying the easiest thing ever.

"So that's it? We're done? After months of waiting to meet each other, and then months of being together, you're just gonna end it like this?" Jack exclaimed, his voice cracking. Fayette opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. Jack wanted to be mad, but he couldn't, he was just heartbroken.

"I gotta go, I'm sorry, Jack," Faye said, standing up and leaving Jack's room, and then the house all together.

Jack sat there, the tears he was previously holding back falling from his eyes. He turned around and screamed into his pillow.

Fayette walked down the street, rain pouring down. It was like the earth was portraying her current emotions. She never wanted to do what she just did, but Jack deserves to find someone who will love him until the day he dies and give him everything he needs to be happy, and Faye knew she wouldn't be able to do that.

Little did Faye know that this was the biggest mistake she had ever made.
