A new day, a new chance to do great things. Although Fayette's cheeks were still tear-stained, she held her head up high. Throwing on an outfit and some make-up that hid her sadness, Faye headed out the door. The plan was to meet Eulalie and Cat at Stanley's, still her favourite coffee shop even after trying lots of other in LA, but Fayette still had about a half an hour before then.

Faye strolled down the slightly busy streets of Paris, sharing glances with strangers every now and then. As she walked, her eyes couldn't help but travel to the display windows in the shops. Even though Faye was never one to shop, something told her that today should be a little different. So, going against her usual routine, Faye stepped into a small boutique.

The shop smelled like freshly picked flowers and chocolate, an unusual pairing, but surprisingly pleasant. A boy and a girl, both who looked to be in their late teens, stood behind the counter. Seeing them greeting customers and helping others reminded Fayette of her teen years.

She had always wanted to run one of the shops she saw around the city, preferably near the Eiffel Tower. After graduating high school, Faye was offered a scholarship at a school in Wales, but declined the offer because she had been making quite a lot of money through social media. She always wondered what would happen if she ever went back to school. Now that she was in the music industry, Faye had pushed away any thoughts of continuing her education.

Fayette looked around a bit before leaving the shop and continuing on her way to Stanley's. The walk was short, and soon enough, she was standing in front of the familiar, burgundy coloured shop.

Pulling open the door, Faye immediately spotted Cat's red hair sitting at a booth near the back. She walked over to the booth, her friends getting out of their seat when they noticed her walking towards them.

"Faye!" Cat exclaimed, pulling Fayette into a hug. Faye laughed and swayed them back and forth before releasing her to greet her other friend.

"Welcome back, babe," Eulalie said, engulfing Faye in a hug as well. Fayette hugged back and once they pulled away, they all sat down at the table.

"I thought you were staying in LA for a couple more weeks?" Cat said, wondering why she was back so early.

"About that," Fayette said, "I broke up with Jack."

"You what!?!" Eulalie shouted, practically choking on her tea.

"Why the fuck would you do that?!" Cat asked.

"I don't know! I got scared or something," Faye answered, "I just did, okay?"

"You are the stupidest person I have ever met," Eulalie sighed, running her hand over her face.

"I know," Fayette muttered to herself.

The three continued catching up before Cat had to go home, so the other two girls headed back to Fayette's house. Eulalie sat down on Faye's couch as Fayette sat in front of her.

"What happened?" Eulalie asked, referring to Faye and Jack.

"I broke the best thing I ever had, and I'll never be able to get it back is what happened," Faye dejected.

"Why though, Faye?" Eulalie asked, desperately searching for an explanation as to why her best friend would ever do this.

"Did you ever hear me tell Miles I loved him. In all the time we were together, did I ever once say that I loved him?" Fayette asked. Eulalie thought for a moment.

"No, you didn't," Eulalie realized.

"That's the thing, I did love him. But I was scared of what would happen if I admitted it. I was scared he'd get bored or something, and if he knew that I loved him, then he'd just know that he was hurting me by not feeling the same," Faye explained.

"But Jack isn't Miles. He's a good person who didn't deserve what you did to him," Eulalie said.

"I know! But when someone tells you something that you've never even heard your parents tell each other, it's kinda hard to say it back. And I knew I couldn't say it back, and Jack deserves someone who can and will tell him that they love him," Fayette replied. At this point, tears were leaving Faye's eyes.

"Fayzie," Eulalie said, soothingly. She moved over and hugged Faye, playing with her hair, "I know you think you did the right thing. But, if you think about it, if Jack loves you, then he won't be able to find another person who will love him because he'll still love you."

"I'm a horrible person," Fayette choked out, breaking the hug.

"No you're not," Eulalie said, "Let's watch something, we can get your mind off of this."

"Mkay," Fayette agreed. Eulalie brought up Netflix and the two watched multiple movies for the next few hours.
