Chapter 5: Those Who Took Him Away

Sakura couldn't say anything but her eyes widened, and it shimmered with tears threatening to fall. She couldn't cry, not now when she had a lot of questions that needed answers.

She sucked in a breath, closed her eyes to calm down then looked at Sasuke, "D-Do you know who?"

He sighed frustratedly and shook his head, "No."

"This is a dream.. This is a dream, right Sasuke-kun? He's just sleeping right? My son is just somewhere in this hideo-"

"Sakura.." Karin started. Sakura turned to look at Karin as if she had the answers, "Karin, you know where he is? Where? He's safe, right?" Sakura choked at the last question, she was scared. She couldn't bear to think of what is happening to her lost son.

She cried.

Tears came and her attention went back to Sasuke when Karn looked down and shook her head.

"S-Sasuke-kun. Please tell me he's safe.. He's probably near here! Let me just.." Sakura was about to get up when Sasuke came closer and hugged her, his arm around. He gives a bit of space so he won't crush his daughter.

His hold was gentle, his eyes closed. "Sakura.. Everything will be alright.."

"N-No.. Sasuke please. I need to g-get to him. I-I can go, I'm fine-"

"He'll be alright. I'll find him." He said, as Sakura's arm went around his embrace and she clutched on the back of his cloak.

She cried on his shoulder and he let her. After a while of her calming down, he let go. Sakura sniffs, and looks at her daughter, caressing her cheek as she sleeps.

"So, who do you think.. No. Who were those guys outside?" She asked Sasuke who sat beside her bed. Karin finished cleaning the room, and leaned on the wall to listen.

"I don't know. They had hoods covering their faces, so I couldn't tell. When I went outside, there was some strange chakra.."

"It then faded, and when I went outside.. I saw a group of people who were planning on taking my eyes. I think they also were after my children's eyes." He explained, focusing on his daughter.

Sakura nodded in understandingly, "So, they must be the one who took him." Sakura looked at Sasuke who shook his head, "No. When I got here, that weird chakra was back again."

"Then those men aren't the ones who took him? If not, who?" Karin asked.

"I believe they weren't the only one planning on taking these eyes." Sasuke looked down, thinking who had he encountered with that were after him.

Karin snapped her fingers, "You mentioned something about teleportation. That could be it! Someone with that type of technique... No wonder their chakra was weird."

"The people outside were just normal kidnappers and bandits, and you're saying the one who took my son is someone who was completely different from them?" Sakura asked.

Karin nodded. Sasuke sighed, "Those guys who took him took the advantage to get in here and teleport somewhere else while I was busy fighting outside."

Sakura frowned, and Karin hummed in response.

"We have to leave then." Sasuke said, but Karin left the wall and stopped him. "No. Not yet! Sakura needs to rest. She just gave birth and witnessed.."

This made Sasuke nod in agreement. Sakura didn't even bother arguing as her body didn't want to. She was really tired, and her chakra was slowly going back, but her last moments of her son also made her less motivated to get up
