Chapter 10: Decisions

The Uchiha Family finally arrived at the Konoha Village, greeted by the Gatekeepers. The Mist Village shinobis said their goodbyes.

"Thank you for accompanying us. Safe travels to you guys." Sakura said with her gentle smile, holding Sarada. Sasuke nodded at them, as they bowed at them and left to go back to their village.

"Are you tired?" Sasuke asked. Sakura wasn't surprised, since she's been feeling Sasuke's worries and concern when he walked beside her. She nodded, "I'm fine. When we get home, I'll feed Sarada."

"Okay." He said. When they walked in through the Gates, they were also greeted by not only Sai, but also Ino and a sleeping baby in her arms.

"Ino!" Sakura's eyes widened in surprise. Sadly, she can't hug her to greet their presence. "Sakura! Sasuke-kun! You guys finally-" Ino noticed the black-haired baby sleeping soundly in Sakura's arms.

"I-Is she..."

Sakura nodded, "Meet Sarada, and I'm guessing that's the little Inojin."

Ino's smile became a grin and nodded with sparkling eyes. "He is! Sarada is beautiful, Sakura." She commented, making Sakura's eyes softened, "I know. Same as Inojin."

While they were conversing, Sasuke and Sai had been talking. Specifically about their recent departure from the Mist Village. They're conversation was about the investigation, when Ino mentioned "Second Uchiha."

Sasuke tensed but it was hardly visible, but it was to Sakura. She realized that Ino didn't know about the recent events of her pregnancy, even though Sai knew. Of course Kakashi would tell him.

Sakura sweatdropped, "Uh.. Yeah. Uhm, we better get home. I need to feed Sarada.."

Ino looked confused, she was about to ask but she knew better that she shouldn't. She nodded understandingly, "Sure thing, Forehead. Go now, you must be tired." Her smile was stiff. Her curiosity was bugging her, but she knows Sakura will tell her when she's ready.

Sakura's head dropped, looking at Sarada's adorable expression. It helped her smile, even though her thoughts made her feel down. She nodded at Ino and walked away from her. Sasuke followed after saying he'll continue discussing with Sai later.

Sai sighed, "Let's go Ino." He took one last glance at the Uchiha Family to see Sasuke reaching out for Sakura's back. He knew it was to comfort his wife, but that was as close to she'll get as he wasn't a big fan of the public eye.

He could hear Ino's little giggle. Ino saw it too. She knew she mentioned something she shouldn't have, and was happy to see Sasuke comforting Sakura instead of her. Those times when Sakura was bullied made her want to be close and protect Sakura.

Now she has Sasuke to do that job.

"What are you giggling about?" Sai asked his wife, walking beside her. "Sakura. Her and the changes right now. Despite the past, I'm glad." She looked up to Sai, "Seeing them as a family."

Sai smiled as he looked into Ino's sincere eyes. That's what he admired about her too. She's true to who she is. His smile turned into a playful grin, "Did you ever imagine yourself instead of Sakura beside him right now?"

Ino looked back to the couple, walking far along the crowd. Some stepped back as they saw Sasuke and some greeted them with their baby. She shrugged, "Probably. When I was young."

Sai pinched her cheek lightly, "Really"

The Yamanaka couple teased each other continuously while they walked back to their home.
