Chapter 4: Sarada Uchiha

After Sakura passed out, she was caught by Sasuke's arm before she fell on the ground. He held her close for a while, and he then heard Karin coughing behind him. Sasuke turned around to see Karin slowly getting up, holding the wall to balance herself.

"What happened?" He asked, making Karin flinched. Karin checked him and his chakra told her it was the real Sasuke.

She sighed, "I'll explain later, we need to take care of Sakura."

Sasuke looks at Sakura's pale with tears and sweat on her face. He nodded and made her sit straight, her head on his shoulder.

Karin was about to help him, but he easily used his arm to carry Sakura. His arm made Sakura sit on it as her heavy torso leaned on Sasuke's chest. Karin was surprised, and took a seat next to their daughter.

She watched Sasuke placing Sakura on the bed beside it. He was being gentle and after she's comfortable, he moved her hair strands that are covering her sleeping face.

"So," Sasuke started, his back still facing Karin. He slowly turned around to face Karin. "What happened?"

Sasuke sat on the other side of the bed, facing his daughter. "This is my.."

Karin slowly nodded, "Your daughter." She looked up at his soft expression looking at his daughter. "Your second child."

His eyes widened and glared at Karin, "What happened to the other?" Karin shifted at his stern voice and sighed frustratedly.

"He's gone." Karin said, and she saw his face drop and she realized that sounded completely different. "I-I mean, He was taken by someone." She corrected herself which made Sasuke sigh heavily.

For a few seconds when Sasuke isn't moving, but has a look of deep thinking. Karin looked at him puzzled, "He was just taken away, Sasuke! You could still get to him, right?" Karin noticed Sasuke's eyes closed. She continued, but her tone went down.

"Some guy was transferred like you and he offered to hold your child, later on I noticed something was different.. I-I'm sorry.." Her voice cracked and looked up to him, "He punched me, and he ran away before you came.." She tried to breathe in and out, before continuing again to explain.

"T-Then Sakura tried to go after him, but she passed out when you came." She finished, looking on the ground. She didn't know what his reaction would be.

She heard him get up and paced around. He cursed inaudibly, "How did I miss him! I could have just noticed his chakra..." Sasuke said quietly.

Karin shakes her head to say she has no answer.

Sasuke runs a hand down his face, "If I leave, it'll be dangerous. You and Sakura aren't well and.." He trails his word to his daughter, "They need care."

"S-Sasuke.. I'm sorry that I couldn't keep them safe. Sakura and I were so exhausted-"

"It's fine."

Karin nodded at this, "Go after him. He's probably still out there!"

Sadly, Sasuke shakes his head, "I can't feel any of their tracks, they must've used some kind of teleportation..." Karin looked down because neither did she feel any tracks being left, she then looked at Sakura.

"Teleportation.." Karin sighed and looked up to him, "How about Sakura?"

"I'll tell her once she wakes up."

The little girl then cried on the bed, surprising the both of them. She seemed to be looking for something and she couldn't. The baby cried more.

Karin was about to comfort her when Sasuke got to her first. He slowly held her with one arm and the little girl's cries were slowly fading. Karin's eyes widened, she never thought she'd see the day Sasuke would ever hold a child, his own child even.
