Greg’s heart skipped a beat when he finally realized that there was a very big possibility that Sandra was pregnant. He wanted to scream and rejoice but he stopped himself. It was by chance that he found this pregnancy kit. He thought that maybe Sandra hasn’t told him about it yet because she wanted to surprise him. He thought he’d respect that and so he decided to keep his mouth shut, pretend he doesn’t know a thing and wait for her to make the announcement.

“Baby, it’s your turn to take a bath,” he said when he got out from the bathroom.

“Mamaya na. I want to rest for a while,” she answered from inside the bedroom.

Pumasok si Greg sa loob ng kwarto at doon ay nakita si Sandra na nakahiga sa kama. Nakapikit ang mga mata nito. He lovingly smiled while looking at her thinking that she was carrying their baby. Lumapit agad s’ya dito at umupo sa kanyang tabi.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

“Yup. I just feel so tired,” she replied still with closed eyes.

“Anong gusto mo? You want a backrub? May gusto ka bang kainin? Gusto mo paliguan kita?”

Biglang napabukas ang mata ni Sandra dahil sa huling sinabi ni Greg. “Naku ayan ka na naman sa kamanyakan mo ha!”

“Eh kasi you look so tired. I just thought maybe…”

“I just thought, I just thought ka d’yan Greg ha. Alam ko na ‘yung mga style mong gan’yan.”

“Ikaw lang naman ang iniisip ko,” pagkukunwaring nagtatampo na sabi ng binata.

“Hep, hep, hep! Di ba sabi ko sa ‘yo hindi bagay sa ‘yo ang nagtatampo?”

“Naglalambing lang ako tapos pinag-iisipan mo pa ng masama.”

She sat up and hugged him. “Sorry na. Sorry na. Akala ko kasi nagpapahiwatig ka na naman eh.”

He hugged her back. “Okay. ‘Yan na kasi talaga ang tingin mo sa akin, di ba?”

“Uhmmm… slight lang. Bakit, magdedeny ka ba?”
