Chapter 2: Childhood days...

FIRST DAY OF GRADE SCHOOL...
(At SouthEast Intl. School)
(June 4, 1996)

"Good luck on your first day baby... Always behave... Whenever you need something just call manang okay?... Mommy loves you always :* iloveyou baby" -Jessie's Mom

"Got it mom... Iloveyou too :* bye!"

(Pumasok na si Jessie sa school nila kasama si manang... Habang naglalakad sila may natanaw syang pamilyar sa kanya)

"Mr. Lee... Ingat po kayo... Goodluck po sa first day nyo... Nasa waiting area lang po kami ni Peter... Kung may kailangan po kayo sa amin sabihan niyo lang po yung guard na tawagin kami"

"Okay Mr. Simon got it ^__^) I'll have to go na po ayoko po kasing malate lalo na po first day of class"

"Sige Mr. Lee goodluck po ulit... Kaya mo yan! :D"

"Sige po thanks! Bye ^__^)/"

(At kumaripas ng takbo si Lee papunta sa room nila... Excited na makilala ang mga bago nyang classmate na magiging kaibigan soon)

"Parang kilala ko yun... Hmmm? @_@?" -Jessie

"Ma'am Jessie may sinasabi ka ba?"

"Ahh ehh nothing manang :) tara na po sa room ko :)"

(Naunang pumasok si Lee sa room at nasa may bandang harap sya nakaupo... Sumunod namang pumasok si Jessie sa room at sa likod naman naupo... Hindi alam ng dalawa na parehas sila ng school na pinasukan... Magkaroom at classmate din pala sila)

"Hello class goodmorning :)"

"Hello Miss goodmorning!" -sabay sabay na bumati ang mga bata sa teacher nila

"This is your first day at southeast right? Maybe we should introduce and get to know each other... Is that okay class?"

"Yes Miss!"

"Okay... I'll introduce first... My name is (teacher writes on the board) Ms. Kaye Yoon :)... I was born in south korea and we migrated here in the Philippines when I was 5yrs old... I am half korean and half Filipino :)... So shall we start? Who wants to volunteer first? Anyone from the class?"

(Nagtaas ng kamay ang isang bata sa may bandang harap nakaupo)

"Yes... You are Mr.? Please go in front and introduce yourself... "

(Pumunta sa harap ang bata at ipinakilala nya ang kanyang sarili)

"Hello classmates ^___^) my name is Lee Omin I am 6yrs of age... I was born here in the Philippines... I am also half korean and half filipino like Ms. Yoon... Annyeonghaseyo Ms. Yoon! ^__^"

"Aniyong Mr. Omin :)... Else to say Mr. Omin?"

"None Miss :)... Gamsahabnida! :)"

"Gamsahabnida :) okay who's next? Ammm... Yes Ms... Come here in front and introduce yourself :)"

"Hello goodmorning... I'm Jessie Hanh, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Kim Hanh... I'm 6yrs old... I was born in Beijing and we migrated also here in the Philippines 2yrs ago... My mom was a Filipina and my dad was korean :) that's all thank you... Gamsahabnida! Annyeong! :)"

"Gamsahabnida Ms. Hanh :)... Okay next?..."

(Nagpakilala ang bawat isa at marami ang may lahing half filipino, half chinese, half korean, half american, half italian, half mongolian meron din naman puro na nanggaling pa sa ibang bansa para lang mag aral dito sa Pilipinas)

(Pagkatapos nilang magpakilala... Sinimulan ng ayusin ni Ms. Yoon ang sitting arrangement sa room kung sino ang magkatabi... 10 girls and 10 boys... 2 persons can accomodate on a chair, it has a desk and a mini locker on the side... 4 chairs in a row... Kaya ang magkatabi on the first row si Lee at Jessie)

"I knew it! I saw you entering a room awhile ago Lee... Then suddenly we are here, we have the same room and also we are classmates now :)"

"Yah... I was shocked and happy... Happy that I know someone I can talk to :)"

"Me too :) so starting today... Can we be friends?"

"Yah sure :) friends ^__^) yehey!!!"

(Masaya ang dalawa sa pagiging magkaroom mate, magkaklase, magkatabi sa chair, magkausap, at higit sa lahat bagong magkaibigan)

(4:00pm classess ends...)

"Okay class this is for today... Pack up your things... Go home safely and do your activities at home okay?"

"Yes Miss!"

"Okay... Have a good day... See you tomorrow... Goodbye class :)"

"Goodbye and thank you Miss!" -sabay sabay na nagpaalam ang mga bata kay Ms. Yoon

(Sabay na umalis si Lee at Jessie... Habang naghihintay naman ang sundo ni Jessie sa labas na si Manang)

"Lee... Dito na ako... We'll wait for my sundo here with manang :)"

"Okay :)... Mr. Simon is also waiting for me at waiting area... I'll have to go there... See you tomorrow Jessie :)"

"See yah :) take care Lee"

"You too Jessie :) Bye!"

(At kumaripas na naman ng takbo si Lee papunta sa waiting area kung saan naghihintay ang sundo nyang si Mr. Simon at Peter)

(Nakauwi na ang dalawa sa kanilang bahay-bahay at ginawa agad ang kanilang mga home activities for tomorrow...)
