ARIA

The whole week passed quickly. Naging busy kami pareho ni Alexus sa kanya-kanyang dapat gawin bago umalis patungo sa kung saang lugar man. He never said anything about our runaway trip. I have a hint na magiging go with the flow na lang kami. 

We're two consenting adults. Wala naman nang pipigil sa'min sa gagawin namin. It's living the life like everyday will be something new. Hindi na ako makapaghintay dahil sabi ni Alex, it will be a surprise.

Maaga pa lang nasa airport na kami. Securities guided us to a private tarmac. Halos mamangha ako sa mga naglalakihang mga eroplanong nakaparada sa malawak na espasyo. They are gigantic in front. Nakakita naman na ako at nakasakay ng eroplano pero iba parin na lalakad ka sa gitna ng malawak na sementadong daan at nasa magkabilaan mo ang mga higanteng eroplano. 

"Yes... We're boarding my plane... No... I'll let you in charge from now on... Yes, I'll contact you... Thanks, Alrius." 

Tinapos ni Alexus ang tawag. Sunod-sunod at walang tigil kasi sa katutunog ang kanyang phone dahil sa kung ano-anong bagay. Palagi siyang may kausap nitong mga nakaraang araw. 

"Your brother?" I asked when I heard Alrius's name. 

"Yeah. I assigned him the company while I'm gone," he guided me up the private luxurious plane. I nod.

I'm not surprised that he own this plane. I am used to seeing the Moretti and their luxuries. Mansions, cars, resorts, hotels, yachts, helicopters, et cetera. Name it. They are billionaires after all. Normal na sa kanila ang mga ganitong kagamitan. 

Hindi naman na ito bago sa paningin ko dahil sa matagal na paninirahan ko sa mga Moretti, kahit saan kami magpunta, they're screaming luxury.

"Mr. Mardoni..." a man in his early thirties approached us the moment we stepped inside his private plane.

Nakipagkamayan si Alex at nagsalita sa ibang lengguahe. I just smiled at the man.

"Miss?" a woman tapped my shoulder. Agad na binaling ko ang atensyon ko sa kanya.

"This way please," inilahad niya ang kamay sa mga leather seats ng eroplano.

Sumunod ako sa kanya. Iniwan ko muna si Alex kasama ang magiging piloto yata namin sa lakad ngayon.

"What do you like for drinks ma'am? Wine, juice, water, anything?" she smiled.

Nginitian ko siya pabalik at umiling. Hindi pa naman ako inuuhaw.

"No thanks. I'll call you when I needed one. Thank you," I politely said.

Ngumiti siya at umalis. Inayos ko ang maong jacket ko at umupo. The inside of the aircraft is spacious. Iilang seats lang ang mayroon dito. Gold and black is the only color that plays on the interior.

There's a small screen in front of my seat. May table din sa harapan ko at iilang cup holders.

Nakarinig ako ng yabag. Alexus went on my seat and squat in front.

"We'll be heading to Athens. We'll visit the Palazzo de Galanis. You should rest first," he said.

My mouth gaped when I heard Zero's surname. I almost forgot about him! Halos nakay Alexus ang atensyon ko buong buwan. How ungrateful of me to my friend! This is bad. Kailangan kong bumawi kay Zero.

"Can we... Stay there for some time?" I asked. My lips pursed in thin line. Hoping he would agree.

"Of course. No one is controlling our time. We can do whatever you want." he smiled and stood.
