She looks like you. Just like you. That's what I thought when I first saw her. No, actually, I didn't really think that. I thought that she was you. To my defense, the hood was hiding a part of my sight, and I was only seeing her back. She had long dark hair, but apart from that, she was you. My heart stopped for what felt like years, because, you know, you couldn't possibly be there.

But right then, when I thought I was going to die, she turned and I saw her face. Oh, the resemblance was still there, hitting me like a ton of bricks, but I knew, and my heart got back on tracks when it realized it had stopped working.

But then she had to go and bleach her hair that exact shade of blonde. It's your shade. Not hers.

It was. Was. I hate past tenses.

What pushes people to change their appearance like that? What pushed me to let a needle pierce my skin a thousand times so I could get those forms inked in me forever? What pushed her to look even more like you?

I don't know. My mind is blurry from your memories. When I touched her, I forced myself not to think of you. But I did, and I felt the need to... help her? I have no idea if that's what I did there, but she ended up crying. And sometimes you just need a good cry, right? You've got to let it all out before the flame bursts into your chest and becomes too painful to deal with. But you know that better than I do.

I promised you I won't let that happen again. To anyone. But in the mean time, I can't promise I will love someone the way I loved you. Because the simple thought of losing you again makes me want to disappear.

I still miss you.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! This is something a bit  different this time, and i'm planning to introduce more of these. I hope you like it.
It's short but I've already written next chapter and i'll publish it tomorrow.
Also, my mind has been really imaginative these last few days and i came up with some ideas: two Christmas/holiday short stories and another fan fiction that would focus on teenage Josh Dun. Would you guys be interested in reading that?
