I feel weird writing to you about this. Mainly because, well, you're not there. But also because it's about her. I'm writing to you about another girl, and this shouldn't be right. I'm sorry. But you've always been my outlet, and maybe you'll always be.

I want to know her, just like I know she wants to know me. In my opinion, I already took a step towards her by mentioning you - even though I didn't go into the details of our relationship. And I was expecting her to do the same, but somehow she didn't. I like to think that's only because she didn't have time.

But I don't even know what I'm talking about and I'm rambling and you must be confused, up there. Let me start again.

I woke up around 6 this morning, and she was already on her laptop, whispering to someone on Skype. I don't know who it was. Maybe that ex-boyfriend of hers. I thought it was him up until the end, but then she said something like "I love you too" but in French, and I was even more confused, but then she slightly turned in bed and I saw a kid.

I swear it was kid, I saw him. A little boy. Brown hair. Possibly blue eyes but I'm not sure. He was waving at her and she said "Je t'aime" again and "Au revoir" - that's funny because that's all I remember from my french classes. She ended the call and I pretended to sleep - before I fell asleep again.

I woke up because of the sound of her laptop, and Josh was fidgeting right beside me. He asked if he should take the call, because maybe it was important and he could go get Lena afterwards and before I had the chance to answer, he was saying hello to a girl behind the screen. She was nice, and she was her friend. And we talked for a while until she asked a weird question about her.

She asked if she was clean. She said she used to hang out with drugged rock stars. That's when Lena came in and interrupted what seemed to be the most honest conversation about her that I had ever had. I'm so confused. And upset. Or maybe a little angry. I don't know. And as much as I try to sort this all out, two thoughts won't leave my mind.

One: she was a drug addict.

Two: she is a mom.

 ---------------

Very short, sorry about that. Could Tyler be right?

Also, I published the prologue of that Josh story I was talking about. It's called Empathy and you can find it on my profile. Please check it out? It's a bit different than this one but I hope you'll like it too!

Oh and I reached 4k reads. That means a lot. Thank you!
