Chapter 10

Lili's POV

It was February 12th, and Cole and I had the day off so that we could go to my doctors appointment.
I got up at 8:27am, and looked over at Cole, he was still asleep. And damn he was cute when he slept. His wavy black hair, all up in his face. I put my hand on his cheek and slightly kissed him. I watched as his eyes fluttered open.

L: Well good morning my love.
C: Good morning bubs. Are you ready to see our little baby today?
L: More ready than ever!
C: When is then appointment at?
L: 10:00am.

He pulled me into his embrace and kissed me on the head. After awhile we got up and got ready. We got in the car and headed to the appointment.

L: Cole?
C: Yes Lils?
L: I love you.
C: I love you too baby girl.

He grabbed my hand and squeezed.

L: So I was thinking, after the appointment, we could tell our parents by showing them the ultrasound pictures.
C: That sounds like a plan, my love.
L: (giggles)
C: Damn, I love your laugh.

A few minutes later we arrived. Cole got out of the car and came over to my side. He opened the door and helped me out. I held his hand as we walked inside. We checked in and sat down. I laid my head on his shoulder.

C: Everything is going to be ok bub.
L: You said that last time and look what happened.
C: Bub...
L: It's true.

Cole's POV

I could tell Lili was upset. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her head.

"Lili Reinhart?"

Lili and I stood up and walked over to the doctor.

"Hi, I'm Natalie Stevens, but you can call me Dr.Stevens. Follow me this way."

We followed the doctor back into a room.

"Ok, I am gonna have you sit down and lay back on the table for me."

Lili did as she was told. I pulled up a chair and sat down next to her. She grabbed my hand and held on to it tight. I put my hand on her head and slowly stroked her hair.

"Now Miss.Reinhart, I need you to pull up your shirt. And once you do that I am going to put this gel on your stomach and move the wand around."

Lili lifted her shirt and Dr. Stevens put the gel on her stomach. A few seconds later the doctor started moving the wand across Lili's stomach. We both looked up at the screen and saw it.
Our little baby.
I looked at Lili and saw that she was smiling.

Dr: You are 4 weeks pregnant.
Lili: Is the baby healthy?
Dr: Yes.
Lili: So I won't have another miscarriage?
Cole: Lils...
Dr: I can't really give you an answer. You can lose the baby at any given time. But if you were to have another miscarriage, it would most likely happen between the 1st and 2nd trimester.
Lili: Oh.
Dr: I'm sorry.
Lili: It's ok.
Dr: But anyways, I'll be back with the ultrasound pictures.
C: Ok, thank you.

The doctor left the room. Lili sat up and wiped the gel off her stomach.

C: Bub, are you ok?
L: Yeah
C: Are you sure? I can tell your upset.
L: Cole. I'm fine.

The doctor walked back in and handed us an envelope with the pictures. We took them and left.
