Chapter 35

The next day

Cole's POV

My alarm for 5:30 went off. I woke up but Lili was still asleep on me. I turned it off and cuddled with her for a few more minutes before I had to wake her up.

"Lils." I quietly whispered.

She didn't budge, so I rubbed her back and said her name a little louder. She finally started to stir awake. I gave her a kiss on the head and she looked up at me with her sleepy eyes.

"Good morning beautiful, it's time to wake up."

She just mumbled and moved up a bit, so that now Lili's head was on my shoulder. Since she wasn't getting up herself, I decided to do it for her.

Cole sat up and had Lili wrap her legs around his torso, and her arms around his neck.

L: What are you doing?
C: Since you don't want to get up, I'm helping you. (Smirks)

Cole stood up and walked out to the kitchen. He then sat Lili on the island. She just looked at him with her eyes half open. He stood in between her legs and had his hands on her lower back.

"Good morning my love" she whispered.

Lili hopped down, and gave him a long passionate kiss.

C: Are you and the baby hungry?

She nodded her head yes and gave him a hug.

C: Lili, is everything alright?
L: yeah im just tired.
C: I know love, but we are leaving for Vancouver today. And I want to beat the traffic.
L: I know.
C: How about, I make us breakfast and afterwards we can take a quick shower together? How does that sound?
L: good.(smiles)

He gave her one more kiss and started cooking, while Lili went out into the living room and laid back down.
Once Cole had finished breakfast he went out in the living room to tell Lili. But of course she fell back asleep. He picked her up bridal style, sat down on the couch, and just held her. Cole lifted her head up and kissed her soft lips a bunch of times.

"Lili my love, wake up. Foods ready."

She slowly opened her eyes.

"Hi" she said in a sweet voice.

Cole moved a few strands of hair out of her face.

C: Did I ever tell you how cute you look when your sleeping?
L:creep.
C: Well it's true.
L:(giggles)
C: goddamn your adorable!(smiles)
L: I can say the same too you.
C: Let's go eat now so we can take a shower.
L: mhm

They both got up and went to the kitchen to eat. Afterwards they went upstairs and got ready to take a shower. Lili was getting the water to the right temperature while Cole got undressed. Lili started undressing but she stopped, so now she had a bra, underwear and a T-shirt left on.

C: Lili, it's ok, I'm not gonna judge. It's not like I haven't seen everything before.

Cole helped her finish and the both got in. He helped her wash her hair and body. After Lili was all clean he quickly washed himself and they both got out. They wrapped themselves in the towel. Lili was so exhausted and Cole knew that. So they dried up and got dressed. Cole put all their bags in the trunk, while Lili was passed out in the rocking chair.

"Oh lil." He said quietly.

He made sure he got all their things that they needed, including a baby bag just in case of an emergency and Lili had to have the baby in Vancouver. After that, he picked her up, covered her with a blanket and carried her out to the car. Cole placed her in the seat and buckled her in. Then he locked the door and they started their trip to Vancouver.
It would take 20 hours to get there, luckily they booked a hotel so they would not have to sleep in their car.

4 hours in

Lili had finally started to wake up. But when she woke up, she was alone in the car. She looked around and noticed that they were parked at a Taco Bell. All of a sudden she heard the car unlock and Cole got in.

L: Cole.
C: Well looks like someone's up. (Chuckles)
C: I got us some food. But before we leave, do you need to use the bathroom?
L: Thank you, and yes.
C: Alright, I'll come in with you.
L: Cole, I think I can use the bathroom by myself.
C: I don't want you in there alone.
L: Why?
C: I don't want anyone harming you or Harper. So I am going in with you.
L: Love...
C: Lili can we just please go!?
L: Look at me.

Cole looked at her and he had tears in his eyes.
She put her hand on his cheek.

C: I'm sorry for yelling.
L: Cole, it's ok my love. Please don't cry. I understand, your just being protective. How about this, we both go in I use the bathroom and you wait outside. Ok?
C: yeah.
L: I love you.
C:I love you too.

Lili pecked his lips before they got out and went inside. She used the bathroom and they went back out to the car to eat.

C: Lils, I'm really sorry for yelling at you.
L: Cole honey, I said it was all ok.
C: But I shouldn't have yelled at you. Even if I was being protective.
L: It's ok. I promise.

They finished eating and got back on the road.

6:58pm

Lili and Cole made it to their hotel. 6 bathroom breaks, 3 stretch breaks and they still had 11 hours left. They settled in their hotel and immediately went to bed because the next day, was gonna be a long ass day.
