Chapter 28

Cole and Lili were on their way to Lili's ultrasound appointment. Cole had his hand on Lili's stomach.

Cole: How long?

Lili: What?

Cole: How long have you know?

Lili: almost 2 months.

Cole: Lils why didn't you tell me?

Lili: I don't know. All I know is, we didn't use protection both times we had sex back in June. I waited a few weeks then I took a test. And obviously it was positive. So I made a doctors appointment to get checked out. Our baby is healthy and it's due on March 24th. Please don't be mad.

Cole: As long as you both are healthy, that's all that matters. And I'm not mad honey. Not at all. I promise that I will always be here for the both of you. And to always love you.

Lili: ok. (Smiles)

A few minutes later, they had arrived at the doctors. They were both a bit nervous but they didn't let that stop them. Cole and Lili got out of the car, and went inside hand in hand. They checked in a sat down.

Dr: Lili Reinhart?

Lili looked up and both her and Cole stood up.

Dr: Hi, you must be Cole. I'm Dr. Amelia Montgomery.

Cole: Hi.

Amelia: Follow me.

All of them walked back to a room, and Lili laid down on the table. Cole sat down in a chair next to her while holding her hand.

Amelia: So Lili, it's going to be the same as last time.

Lili lifted up her shirt.

Amelia: Ok here comes that cold ass gel. (Chuckles)

Amelia put the gel on Lili's stomach. She flinched as it hit her stomach.

Amelia: Ok, so dad, ready to see your baby?

Cole: Yeah. (Smiles)

The doctor put the wand on Lili's stomach, and their baby popped up on the screen. And Cole's face went soft.

Cole: Lils, that's our baby.

Lili: It is. (Smiles)

Lili looked up at Cole and smiled. She noticed that he had tears in his eyes, so she put her hand on his face and wiped away his tears with her fingers.

Amelia: Do you guys want to know the gender?

Lili: Can you put it in an envelope?

Amelia: Yeah. I'll be right back.

Cole: Thanks.

Amelia: No problem.

She left the room. Lili sat up and wiped the gel of her tiny stomach. Amelia soon came in with an envelope and handed it to Cole.

Amelia: There you go. It has a picture of the baby with its gender on there.

Lili: Thank you. (Smiles)

Amelia: Your welcome! Take care you guys.(smiles)
