Chapter 13

Cole's POV

I laid there with Lili in my arms, watching Netflix while she slept. All of a sudden I got a phone call from Dylan. I carefully got up and answered the phone.

*On call*

D: Hey Cole.
C: Hey Dyl, what's up?
D: Something bad happened.
C: What?
D: It's Mom and Dad.
C: Dylan. What happened!?

As soon as Dylan told me what happened, a started to cry. I didn't want to wake Lili, so I went outside. As soon as I got outside I started to sob. I couldn't hold back all the tears.

Lili's POV

I woke up on the couch. I looked at the clock and it was 5:38pm. Cole was nowhere to be found. The sun had already set, so it was pretty dark in the living room besides the dim light the tv gave off. I got up and turned on a lamp.

"Cole Baby?" I called out.

No response.
I looked upstairs and downstairs and I couldn't find him. There was one place I didn't look, outside. I opened the front door and saw Cole sitting on the front porch, smoking.

"Cole?" I said.

He looked up at me, I could tell that he had been crying a lot. His eyes were red and he had tear stains on his cheeks. I walked over and sat down next to him. He immediately pulled me into a hug and started crying. We hugged for a while before I finally pulled away.

L: Cole honey, what's wrong?
C: I-I got a c-c-call from Dylan and......
L: And what babe?
C: I-Its m-my parents Lils.
L: What happened with your parents?
C: They got in a car crash and um...
they didn't make it. Oh god.

He started crying harder. I pulled him back into a hug. Eventually we went back inside and cuddled.
