Chapter 33

The day after the proposal

Lili was laying in Cole's arms as he slept. She woke up early because of the baby kicking. While she laid there she admired her ring. And she couldn't believe that she was gonna get married to her best friend, the love of her life, the father of her unborn child. Lili had always imagined her future with Cole. And now that she is actually gonna have a future with him, she was ecstatic.

The baby started kicking again. Sure she was tiny, but damn she could kick hard. Lili carefully got out of bed and went downstairs. She got something to eat to try and calm the baby down but that didn't work. And she even tried rocking in the chair but that still didn't work. Lili just laid there and broke down. Cole had woken up and heard Lili's cries so he went down stairs.

Cole: Lils, honey, what's wrong?

Lili: I'm so tired and this baby isn't letting me sleep. I just want to sleep.(Cries)

Cole: I'm sorry Love. How about we just sleep out here tonight?

Lili: Cole, you can sleep upstairs in bed. I don't care. You don't always have to sleep with me, if you don't want too. I'm not saying that I don't enjoy night time cuddles and falling asleep in each other's arms.

Cole: But I want to sleep with you. Because I love you.

Lili: I love you too.

Cole laid down next to her, she snuggled into the side of him. He wrapped his arms around her and put his hand on her baby bump.

Cole: Harper Grace, why aren't you letting mommy sleep? She needs sleep too. I need you to stop kicking and calm down. Please.

All of a sudden she stopped kicking. Lili looked at Cole.

Lili: I guess she likes the sound
of your voice.

Cole: I guess so.

Lili: Can we go outside and lay in the hammock? Watch the sunrise?

Cole: Romantic. (Smirks)

They got up and took a blanket and went outside. They had a fenced in backyard so they didn't have to worry about people watching them. Cole laid down in the hammock and Lili laid next to him. They wrapped themselves in the blanket and Cole pulled her closer to him.

Cole: Lils, if you ever need me anytime at night, come and wake me up.

Lili: Cole. It's ok, I'm a big girl and I can handle it.

Cole: Lili, please promise. Please?

Lili: fine.

Lili looked up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Lili: So you know how we planned on having a baby shower here?

Cole: Yeah.

Lili: Well I thought we could have it in Vancouver, since we go back in a few days.

Cole: That's fine with me.

Lili: And hopefully, Roberto can let us get off a month before baby girl is due. So that way we can come back to LA and have her here.

Cole: Don't worry, he probably will. And besides your only, what? 12, 13 weeks pregnant? So we don't have to worry about that for a while. Everything will be just fine my love.

Lili snuggled into Cole. He laid his head on hers and they both fell asleep as the sun was rising.

Everyone knew that Cole and Lili were meant to be. No matter what.
