Chapter 26

Lili's POV

*Time jump*
August 1st 2020

There were a few days until Cole's birthday. We had planned on having a few friends over for his birthday. Cole didn't want much. I could tell he was upset about his parents, and I get that. I just wanted him to be happy. So that's why I am giving him a gift that he's been wanting for a while.

I woke up at 3:56am with a splitting headache. I got up took some medicine and went back to bed. But I couldn't go back to sleep. So I turned on the tv and sat up a bit. While I was watching tv Cole had woken up.

Cole: Lili, you ok?

Lili: Yeah baby, I'm ok. Go back to sleep.

Cole: No I wanna stay up with you.

Lili: Cole-

Cole: Lils, it's fine. I wanna stay up with you.

Lili: ok.

Cole sat up and pulled Lili close to him. She laid her head on his shoulder. He laid his head on her's.

Cole: What are you doing up so early love?

Lili: I have a horrible headache.

Cole: I'm so sorry my love. I'm right here if you need anything.

Lili: I love you so much. (Smiles)

Cole: I love you so much too.

He kissed her on the head.

A few hours later

Cole and Lili decided to get out of bed and go downstairs for breakfast. Lili didn't really eat anything because her headache made her nauseous. She laid on the couch, while Cole cleaned up the kitchen. When he came out to the living room, she was fast asleep under a blanket, with her face halfway covered. Cole laid down carefully next to her and put his arms around her, with his head on her back. Cole knew Lili needed him, even though she didn't want to admit it. She didn't like to make things all about her. That was one of the things he loved most about her. She was a very caring person. And Cole couldn't wait to marry her one day.
