WHEN PATRICK SWAYZE (DARREL CURTIS) TRIED TO CARRY C. THOMAS HOWELL (PONYBOY CURTIS), HE ENDED UP ACCIDENTALLY HITTING TOMMY'S HEAD ON A POLE.
During the scene when the Curtis brothers get back from the hospital, and Tommy was sleeping in the car, Patrick Swayze (Darrel Curtis) picks him up and attempts to carry him out of the car. However, you could see that Patrick was struggling slightly to hold Tommy's weight. You could even hear it in his voice. You could see that around the Curtis house, they have a large metal gate. So, as Patrick attempted to hold Tommy, he accidentally hit Howell's head against one of the metal poles attached to the gate. They had to cut the scene in order to tend to Tommy's wound and redo the part.
